Gene Fusion! Diamond Arms Takes On a Divine Self-Destruction

"Did you hear that, Loki?"

Controlling the "corrupted" Destroyer, Jiang Li gave the sky a thumbs-up, then viciously pointed it down.

That silent slap crossed several light-years and landed squarely on Loki's face, the temporary king of Asgard.

Asgard, Bifrost nexus.

The veins on the back of Loki's hand bulged as he gripped Gungnir. His once wickedly handsome face was now twisted into something terrifying.

"A mortal... dares profane a god's weapon!"

Loki felt humiliation like never before. Not only had he failed to kill Thor, he had handed Odin's ultimate weapon to the enemy? If word got out, how could he show his face in the Nine Realms?

"If I can't have it, then none of you get to live!"

Madness flashed in Loki's eyes. He slammed Gungnir into the control console, pouring out divine power at full force and activating the "self-destruct protocol" within the Destroyer, one known only to its creator.

"For the glory of the king... be destroyed!"

Earth, New Mexico.

"Warning! Magical core energy rising exponentially!"

"Warning! Irreversible self-destruct sequence activated! Countdown: 5 seconds!"

Jiang Li had been enjoying himself when he suddenly felt the metal shell beneath him become scorching hot.

The green hourglass symbol flashed red madly as an uncontrollable, violent divine power rampaged through the Destroyer, trying to blow everything into ashes.

"Playing self-destruct? Loki, you sore-losing brat!"

Jiang Li cursed inwardly.

This was a divine weapon forged from Uru metal self-destructing. Its power could flatten everything within five kilometers!

Upgrade could control hardware, but it could not control rampaging magical energy. If he remained merged with it, he would be blasted into atoms along with it.

"Damn it! Eject!"

Jiang Li roared, and black liquid metal instantly peeled away from the Destroyer.

He was forcibly ejected from the merged state and returned to human form in midair.

The Destroyer had already become a blinding sphere of light. Its shell was melting, and the terrifying energy fluctuations were beginning to distort the surrounding space.

Jiang Li's fingers flew across the dial, overlapping the two icons he knew best. This was the one life-saving trump card he had obtained from the Chapter 10 mission reward!

A brilliant beam of mixed red and crystalline green light shot into the sky!

When the light faded, an unprecedented new form stood in the middle of the battlefield.

He stood nearly four meters tall, even larger than an ordinary Four Arms.

His originally red, muscular skin was covered in a thick layer of translucent red diamond armor. Massive crystal spikes jutted from his back, while four incomparably powerful crystal arms radiated a chilling red glow!

Vast amounts of red crystal grew frantically from his four arms, spreading across the Destroyer's body. In the blink of an eye, they formed a red crystal coffin several meters thick, wrapping the Destroyer layer upon layer!

"Boom—!!!"

The Destroyer self-destructed inside the crystal coffin.

The horrifying shockwave slammed wildly through the confined space. Cracks instantly covered the coffin's surface, and blinding light burst through the fissures.

"Crack... crack..."

Jiang Li gritted his teeth, his four arms clamped tightly around the crystal coffin. The earth beneath his feet shattered inch by inch, and his legs sank two meters into the ground.

"I'm... barely holding it!"

A pillar of energy bright enough to illuminate the entire Western Hemisphere shot into the heavens, instantly blasting away every cloud within a hundred miles!

Ten seconds later.

The light faded.

The world fell silent once more.

The original base had become a massive crater dozens of meters deep.

At the bottom of the crater.

Thor, clad in silver armor and a red cape, panted heavily, smoke still rising from the hammer in his hand.

Across from him.

Jiang Li had exited his fusion form and returned to human form. He lay sprawled inelegantly on the scorching vitrified ground, drenched in sweat, and raised a middle finger at Thor.

"Next time you've got this kind of hard labor... can you show up sooner?"

Thor froze for a moment, then burst into hearty laughter. He walked over and offered Jiang Li a hand.

"Sorry, my friend. The hammer needed some time to recharge. But I have to say... that diamond form of yours is incredibly tough."

Jiang Li grabbed that godly hand and pulled himself up, brushing the dirt from his body.

"Enough with the sentimental stuff."

Jiang Li pointed toward the sky, at the now-closed Bifrost vortex.

"Your brother must be losing his mind. This show's over, right?"

At that moment, Tony Stark finally crawled out of a pile of sand in the distance. He looked at the two men standing together—one an alien hacker, the other a Norse god.

"JARVIS."

Tony's voice was a little dry.

"Archive the data on that 'red crystal four-armed monster' from earlier. Codename... 'Godslayer.' Also, order the best barbecue delivery for those two. Put it on my tab."
