Background / History

Encounter with Jiang Li

After analyzing satellite footage of XLR8 dismantling a tank at Mach 3.5, Tony identified Jiang Li as the transforming “Omni” and became determined to meet him. His initial response was competitive: he considered designing anti-alien armor after seeing an ability that outperformed his own technology. 5

Tony tracked Jiang Li to a Manhattan hotel after detecting the Omnitrix’s energy fluctuations. He attempted to purchase the watch, then tried to forcibly scan it after Jiang refused.
