Everyday Life in the Main Universe!
Marvel Main Universe, New York.
In a high-rise apartment in Manhattan, a light night rain was falling outside the window, but warm wall lamps were lit inside.
After setting the "firewall" of the Multiverse to automatic operation, Jiang Li completely severed the connection with that complex data. He brought out two cups of hot cocoa from the kitchen and walked into the spacious living room.
A girl was curled up on the sofa in the living room.
She was wearing an oversized gray loungewear T-shirt, and her striking blonde hair was accented with a few pink strands at the ends. Her azure eyes were staring blankly at the coffee table, and her small lips were slightly pouting, clearly indicating that she was sulking.
Gwen Daisy, the Ghost-Spider of Earth-65.
"Who made Gwen angry? She didn't even watch her favorite comedy."
Jiang Li walked to the sofa, handed Gwen a cup of hot cocoa, and sat down next to her, naturally putting his arm around her shoulder.
Feeling the familiar warmth emanating from Jiang Li, Gwen's tense body instantly relaxed. She leaned against Jiang Li's shoulder, holding the Max in both hands, and let out a long sigh as if she had found her anchor.
"Jiang Li, that guy named Miguel is an utterly unreasonable fanatic!"
Gwen raised her left wrist. There she wore a Spider-Society communication bracelet, which was flashing a blinding red light.
"He gave me an ultimatum. He used that broken machine to deduce a so-called ' Canon Events.' He said that in my universe, my father, Sheriff George Stacy, was destined to die in a battle soon. Only then could the universe be stable."
Upon hearing the words "Sheriff George Stacy," Jiang Li raised an eyebrow slightly.
He had been to Earth-65 and met that rigid but extremely doting old policeman. Although Chief George Stacy had pointed a gun at him and warned him to stay away from his precious daughter, Jiang Li didn't dislike the protective old man.
"Not just my father."
Gwen turned her head to look at Jiang Li, her tone filled with undisguised dissatisfaction and complaints.
"And there's Miles from Earth-1610. His father, Sheriff Jefferson, is about to face the same fate. That bastard Miguel not only prevented us from rescuing him, but also cut off Miles's communications, using the excuse that 'forcibly rescuing him will lead to the destruction of the entire universe' to morally blackmail us!"
"Jiang Li, I know that if you just press a button on the clock face, even if the universe collapses into dust, you can piece it back together in a second."
Gwen nestled in Jiang Li's arms like a wronged kitten, rubbing against his chest.
Jiang Li looked at his indignant girlfriend in his arms and couldn't help but chuckle.
"It's no big deal."
Jiang Li stroked Gwen's soft, short hair, his eyes full of doting affection.
"However, there is one more thing."
Gwen's expression suddenly turned serious. "My Spider-Sense has been very irritating these past few days. I sense a nauseating stench of blood. It's from those monsters who feed on Spider-Totem."
"The Inheritors?"
"Yes." Gwen nodded. "They've been quiet for a long time. But I have a feeling they've set their sights on Earth-1610 this time. Because the ' Canon Events ' there is about to erupt, gathering a large amount of totem life force."
Jiang Li put down the Max in her hand.
He stood up and straightened his loungewear.
"Miguel thinks their crappy universe will collapse because their server computing power is too weak. They can't even calculate the fate of a few people."
Jiang Li turned to look at the night view outside the floor-to-ceiling window.
"As for those scumbags from the sewers of the Inheritors, I was in a hurry last time and only managed to swat one away. Since they're so ignorant, how dare they even target your friend..."
Jiang Li pressed his left thumb heavily on the space knob on the edge of the watch face.
Let's go.
"Where to?" Gwen's eyes lit up, and she immediately stood up.
"Let's go check out Earth-1610 first. Then, we'll go teach that Spider-Society some manners."
"Finally, I'll accompany you back to your parents' home. Let's see who in this universe dares to lay a finger on my father-in-law."
Buzz!
With a crisp mechanical clang, a spatial portal emitting a ghostly green light suddenly opened in the center of the living room.
Without any hesitation, she turned and ran back to her bedroom, and in less than half a minute, she changed into the classic black and white Ghost-Spider suit and put on the hood.
"Let's go, my great hero!"
Gwen walked to Jiang Li's side and naturally took his arm.
The two stepped side by side into the eerie green portal. The apartment in the Main Universe returned to peace.
Earth- Earth-1610, Brooklyn, New York.
The twilight sky took on a rich, cartoonish quality, with dotted shadows covering the glass facade of the building.
Jiang Li and Gwen emerged from an empty alley.
Just as I stepped onto the main road, a piercing police siren blared from afar.
Bang!
With a loud bang, an armored truck bearing the words "Bank of New York" was flung into the air by an invisible force, spinning as it crashed down onto the crowd on the street.
Where the armored truck had originally been, stood a strange man, his body entirely white and covered in black circular the Spot.
"Hahaha! Miles! I told you, I am your destined nemesis!"
The Spot creature laughed arrogantly, drawing circles in the air with its hands and creating spatial black holes out of thin air.
In mid-air, a slender figure in black and red was swinging on Silk, desperately dodging through dense spatial black holes. It was Miles, Spider-Man from Earth-1610.
"Damn it! How did this idiot suddenly become so difficult to deal with!"
Miles had just narrowly escaped a black hole when he looked up and was horrified to see the armored truck, which had been overturned, crashing straight into a terrified little girl on the street corner.
The distance was too far; the Silk simply couldn't reach them in time!
"No!" Miles cried out in despair.
Just a fraction of a second before the armored truck hit the girl.
Swish!
A black afterimage appeared instantly in front of the little girl, completely disregarding the laws of physics.
