Tongtian Attains the Dao, Shocking the Primordial World

Tongtian stood above the Zhu Xian Formation, his robes stirring despite the absence of wind. He slowly raised both hands, and the Sha Qi within the formation churned like dragons.

The four Immortal Swords rang sharply, their Sword Qi shooting straight into the nine heavens. Laozi and Yuanshi exchanged a glance, their expressions grave.

Tongtian closed his eyes and focused, Dao resonance beginning to circulate around him. Golden light glimmered where the Zhuxian Formation Diagram connected with the earth.

The Sha Qi within the formation suddenly contracted inward, condensing into three phantom figures. They were Tongtian's good, evil, and self Three Corpse Incarnations.

The three phantoms gradually solidified. Together with Tongtian's true body, they each guarded one gate and fused with the Four Swords of Zhu Xian.

For a time, thunderclouds faintly gathered above Kunlun Mountain. A gigantic blood-red eye was already beginning to form in the heavens.

Primordial Heavenly Venerable frowned at the sky. "I never expected Third Brother to make such a tremendous stir. Elder Brother and I used Innate Supreme Treasures to conceal the heavenly secrets, yet the Heavenly Dao still sensed it."

As he spoke, Primordial Heavenly Venerable and Laozi acted at the same time, using Innate Supreme Treasures to disperse the gathering thunderclouds and prevent the Eye of Heavenly Punishment from taking shape.

Tongtian had reached a critical moment, sweat beading at his brow. The Three Corpse Incarnations began to tremble violently, as though they were about to break free.

The Four Swords of Zhu Xian suddenly let out mournful cries in unison. The Zhu Xian Formation shook violently, showing signs of collapse.

Seeing this, Primordial Heavenly Venerable inwardly cried out in alarm. He immediately prepared to act and help Tongtian stabilize the Zhu Xian Formation.

But at that moment, Laozi raised a hand to stop Primordial Heavenly Venerable. "Second Brother, do not interfere. Third Brother must cross this trial himself."

Tongtian abruptly opened his eyes, sword light flowing within them. He bit the tip of his tongue and spat out a mouthful of essence blood. The blood transformed into four crimson talismans and flew toward the four gates.

Each blood talisman entered an Immortal Sword. The sword cries came to an abrupt halt, and the Sha Qi stabilized once more. Only then did Laozi and Primordial Heavenly Venerable let out long breaths of relief.

As Tongtian's words fell, law and Dao resonance flowed throughout his body. Even Laozi and Primordial Heavenly Venerable felt an urge to bow in worship.

Laozi and Primordial Heavenly Venerable could not help but reveal shocked expressions. They had never expected the path Tongtian walked to reach such a terrifying realm.

At the same time, purple qi stretched eastward for countless miles, and the voice of the Great Dao resounded throughout the Primordial World. In the end, even the phantom image of Great God Pangu appeared in the heavens.

For a time, countless living beings fell to their knees in worship. They bowed to Tongtian, and also to Pangu. What they worshipped was a Primordial Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal, not a Heavenly Dao Sage.

At that moment, Lu Xuan, who was inch by inch searching the Eastern Sea for the Three Overseas Immortal Islands, also felt the pressure.

When Laozi and the others attained the Dao and became Sages, Lu Xuan had not bowed in worship, for that pressure had not affected him.

But this time was different. Lu Xuan could clearly feel a pressure as tangible as substance, one that even made him want to kneel in worship.

This was pressure from the Great Dao. Even the Heavenly Dao had no choice but to bow before it, much less Lu Xuan, who was merely a transmigrator.

That bow had come from the depths of their hearts, an instinctive action beyond their control. From this, it was clear how the Dao Tongtian had attained differed from theirs.

Daoist Jieyin sighed. "Back then, Tongtian could clearly have established a sect and attained the Dao to become a Sage, yet he did not do so."

"Now, more than ten thousand years have passed. Tongtian has finally succeeded in attaining the Dao, and not through establishing a sect. It is highly likely that he has truly attained the Dao through Slaying the Three Corpses."

Daoist Jieyin's words filled Daoist Zhunti's face with bitterness. "Why is the Heavenly Dao so unfair to our West? The West is already barren—why can we not have a true Three-Corpse Sage to preside over it?"

Daoist Jieyin sighed as well. "Junior Brother, stop complaining. Let us hurry to Kunlun Mountain and congratulate Fellow Daoist Tongtian."

After speaking, he left Western Mount Sumeru with Daoist Zhunti and headed toward Kunlun Mountain.
