Background / History

Xu Qing began as a beggar in Qingbei Town and buried his grandfather, Nine Fingers, on White Dwarf Mountain. After awakening memories of a past life as a wealthy entrepreneur on Earth, he resolved to earn money and enter a martial arts school. 1

He first made a name for himself in underground bare-knuckle boxing by defeating Pang De with a single punch. He then used his winnings to enroll at the Azure Hawk Martial Arts School, where he studied Azure Hawk Force and Eagle Claw Skill under outer-courtyard instructor Zhang He. 5 6

Xu Qing became Du Cangying's formal disciple after rapidly mastering Azure Hawk Force. Du assigned him management of Spring Breeze Pavilion, while Xu Qing used the school’s resources, spirit food, and his own relentless practice to accelerate his cultivation. 19

After killing a Corpse Ghoul in his residence, Xu Qing concealed his involvement from the Yamen. His growing caution, use of disguises, and private cultivation became central to his survival against the Blood Demon Cult and the Jiang Family. 8 20 66

He left Qingbei Town when the Jiang Family targeted him, arranging for Yu Hu and Yu Chen’s family to relocate for safety.
