Background / History

Ye Langtian was the third young master of the Ye family and joined the Azure Hawk Martial Arts School roughly half a month before Xu Qing. He initially sought to recruit Xu Qing as a follower, but Xu Qing refused. His rapid mastery of Azure Hawk Force and Eagle Claw Skill made him widely regarded as a martial arts prodigy, though he was initially arrogant toward Xu Qing's own claims of progress. 6 17

After Xu Qing's growth became undeniable, Ye Langtian sent him 500 taels and invited him to a banquet. Xu Qing declined to continue training; Ye Langtian cancelled the banquet and resolved to work harder, showing newfound recognition of Xu Qing's diligence and talent. 20

The Ye family was later massacred. With Du Cangying's help, Ye Langtian escaped Qingbei Town, only to fall into the Ghostly Oddity: Desolate Village. He survived, acquired the Devouring Demonic Art, and joined the Blood Demon Cult, where his physique and aptitude proved exceptionally compatible with demonic cultivation. 84 110 183

Xu Qing intercepted Ye Langtian while he was attempting to leave Qingbei Town, forced him to consume an LV10 Heaven Bridge Pill, and made him a loyal subordinate. Xu Qing subsequently used Ye Langtian as an embedded agent within the Blood Demon Cult. 109

Ye Langtian rose quickly through the Yuehe Prefecture City Branch: first under White Hair, then under branch leader Liuying. He staged Xu Qing's death with a fake head, earned White Hair's trust, and supplied Xu Qing with the copied Second Layer of the Devouring Demonic Art. 126 139 142

His repeated survival and advancement in the Desolate Village led to the awakening of Ye Family Mad Blood, the acquisition of the Rampage Halberd, and mastery of the Devouring Great Law. He later became second-in-command of the Yuehe Branch, defeating every elder who challenged his authority. 188 190

Following the deaths of the branch's senior leadership, Ye Langtian and Liuying took control of the Yuehe Branch. He was recognized by the Blood Demon Cult's Cangzhou Branch and became the Yuehe Branch's Apostle. 211 215

Ye Langtian later endured brainwashing in the Blood Demon Cave but retained loyalty to Xu Qing due to the Heaven Bridge Pill's effect. The ordeal earned him the Blood Sea Law, the Devouring Demonic Art Third Layer, and greater authority within the Cangzhou Branch. 233

After reaching the Fourth Realm, Ye Langtian learned that the Desolate Village would transport him to Central Great Tang. Before leaving, he gave Xu Qing the Fourth Layer of the Devouring Demonic Art and shared information about the Xuanhuang Realm and the Sea of Chaos. Xu Qing agreed to meet him in Central Great Tang five years later. 284

Personality

Ye Langtian began as a proud wealthy young master accustomed to admiration from fellow disciples. Xu Qing's progress forced him to reassess himself; rather than persist in resentment, he chose to work harder. 17 20

As Xu Qing's subordinate, he is consistently respectful, efficient, and resourceful. He repeatedly gathers difficult-to-obtain materials, provides intelligence, and uses his position in the Blood Demon Cult to advance Xu Qing's interests. 164 176 196 236

His demonic cultivation is defined by ferocity and battle hunger. The Mad Blood awakened by the Desolate Village merged with his Furious Battle Intent, giving his Devouring Great Law a particularly frenzied nature. 188 190
