Train Crisis

Just as Han Lin was about to move forward, a distinctly German-accented English voice came over the carriage broadcast. "At last, I've found you, Shura and Captain America. I don't know why you love opposing me so much, but today, you'll disappear from this world forever."

The corridor doors slowly opened, and four Super Energy Soldiers carrying small energy cannons walked in.

Han Lin swiftly turned around and planted his shield into the floor. He then took out two ordinary shields and positioned them behind the Secondary Adamantium shield. "Be careful. Steve, you handle the front. I'll deal with the two behind us. Bucky, Carter, stay alert."

The instant he finished speaking, Han Lin's hands shifted into Claw Form as he activated a charged pounce. His feet stomped against the carriage floor, launching him rapidly toward the two enemies with his claws spread open. At the same time, their energy cannon fired at Bucky.

Han Lin glanced back at the shattered Secondary Adamantium shield. The weakened energy blast had failed to break through the second shield, allowing him to relax. After all, Han Lin would not give them a second chance to fire.

The two men were not standing far apart. Han Lin, pouncing toward them, slashed his claws across one man's head. The alloy mask could not withstand his claws at all and was sliced through like foam.

Against Hydra soldiers like these, especially enhanced ones, Han Lin did not believe Schmidt would fail to leave himself some insurance. If they self-destructed, being cautious was the best option.

After finishing the kill, Han Lin saw Steve charging forward with his shield raised, blocking every energy beam. When he reached the two Hydra soldiers, he smashed his shield into the head of the one on the right while using his left hand to lift the energy cannon of the soldier on the left. The fully charged cannon blasted a huge hole through the carriage. Bucky was nearly swept outside by the rushing wind, but Carter grabbed him in time and helped him keep his footing.

After receiving the Simplified Serum injection, Carter's physical condition was already stronger than Bucky's. Combined with her background as an agent, her balance was also excellent.

Watching Steve fight the other Super Energy Soldier to a standstill, Han Lin quickly walked over to the fallen soldier and crushed his faceplate beneath his foot. Red-and-white fluid instantly spilled across the floor.

"Red Skull Schmidt, this is the second time we've met. Are you still not planning to show yourself?" Han Lin shouted inside the carriage.

As Han Lin called out, Schmidt, who had been watching closely, realized that the four Energy Soldiers would not be much use. He slowly stood and said to Dr. Zola, "Let us witness their deaths."

He walked to the connection between the carriages and waited for Han Lin and the other three to slowly enter the second carriage from the one behind.

"Welcome, Shura of the battlefield and Captain America. I'm your fan. If you hadn't kept obstructing my plans, I would already be standing at the top of the world." Schmidt appeared before them with his distinctive red skull-like head, speaking to Han Lin in a somewhat relaxed tone.

Seeing Schmidt's fearless expression, Han Lin felt increasingly uneasy. After taking two slow breaths, he said:

"At last, I've found you. You ran quite fast last time, so I couldn't catch you. Do you finally have the courage to stand before me now? Did you prepare another aircraft for negotiations this time? So I can be on guard!"

"Indeed, I didn't. This time, I've decided to fight you myself. I also want to know just how strong you truly are. Have Captain America take the two guests back to the rear carriage, and I'll come in. If you refuse, then I can only separate the train. That way, you won't be able to catch me." Seeing that the preparations were complete, Schmidt emerged wearing a Hydra commander's uniform and gave Han Lin a terrifying smile. "Honestly, you're truly powerful. I don't know how you gained this kind of strength, but I know that as long as I take you down, that will be enough.

"At first, I thought the Super Soldier Serum was already powerful enough. Yet the research of you and Dr. Erskine actually enhanced the Super Soldier Serum, making the Captain America behind you far stronger.

"I'm not willing to accept it. Why wasn't I the one with such power? Why can you possess power stronger than the Super Soldier Serum?

"Dr. Steinberg's appearance showed me the power to defeat you. After brainwashing him, I sent out a rescue signal. I never expected you to notice it.

"But it doesn't matter. The Infinite Formula combined with me will make me powerful enough to leave you astonished."

After finishing, Schmidt injected a vial of emerald-green medicine into his body.

Schmidt's entire body began to swell, turning him into a red giant over two meters tall. Muscles knotted across his body, and his eyes were filled with killing intent as he stared at Han Lin.

"Today, I'll send you to meet God." After saying that, Schmidt stomped a huge crater into the carriage floor and charged at Han Lin.

Seeing Schmidt's enormous transformation, Han Lin did not dare test him carelessly. He immediately activated Warhammer Form. The 100% strength bonus was most effective against this kind of physically enhanced fighter.

Han Lin guessed that the Infinite Formula had doubled the effects of the Super Soldier Serum in Schmidt's body, increasing his original fourfold physical enhancement to eightfold.

Though it was only temporary, it was still incredibly powerful. Schmidt caught Han Lin's moment of distraction and sent him flying into the carriage door with a knee strike. Han Lin felt a pain in his chest unlike anything he had experienced in a long time.

He coughed lightly twice and rose from the floor. Han Lin knew he should not clash head-on with the other man anymore, so he shifted into Claw Form and waited for Schmidt's attack. Schmidt, however, stood still and stopped attacking.

"You're stronger than I imagined, but it doesn't matter. You'll all die here today." Schmidt suddenly ran toward the front of the train. With a leap, he shut the carriage door. Holding a device resembling a remote control, he mouthed "bye-bye" and pressed it.

Han Lin finally understood the source of his unease. Danger Perception immediately issued an intense warning. The rear carriages began exploding one after another. Han Lin swiftly turned, sliced open the door, and shouted, "Run forward!"

He grabbed Bucky and led him forward at full speed. Seeing the locomotive separated by Dr. Zola, Han Lin quickly spent a point on Wind Whip Form, and his right hand rapidly formed into a chained blade.

Wind Whip Level 1: Attack range 15 meters. Cuts enemies. Wind Whip Thrust: Accumulate power and fling the Wind Whip, delivering a piercing strike against targets within a straight-line distance of 20 meters.

Han Lin flung out the Wind Whip, opening a large hole in the other side of the carriage, then jumped out with the other three.

The train had just reached a bend. Without the locomotive leading it, it rushed off the mountainside and exploded into a burst of fireworks in midair.
