Background / History
Han Lin was originally a twenty-first-century college student with some veterinary studies behind him. While playing a game involving James Heller and Alex Mercer, his computer distorted and transported him to Brooklyn, New York, in 1942. He arrived wearing jeans, oversized slippers, and thick-lensed glasses, then discovered that he could understand and speak flawless English. 1 2
His Blacklight Virus-enhanced body manifested almost immediately. When intervening in an assault on Steve Rogers, Han Lin reflexively dislocated an attacker’s arm and shattered his ankle; he was initially horrified by the force he had used. Steve sheltered him despite warning that an Asian man assaulting an American citizen could face severe consequences. 2
The system later revealed Han Lin’s altered physiology and its locked mutation paths. Without money, legal identification, or local connections, he used a fabricated identity to arrange a meeting with Howard Stark, offering future knowledge and protection in return for Stark Industries shares and a legitimate identity. 3 4 6
Appearance
Han Lin is a 185 cm, 65 kg Chinese young man whose relatively thin build conceals extreme physical power. In combat operations, he commonly wears a black custom combat suit. 2 21
- Initially arrived in 1942 wearing jeans, oversized slippers, and thick-lensed glasses. 1
- Appeared frail beside larger American men despite possessing superhuman strength. 2
- His Warhammer Form enlarges his hands and forearms to roughly twice their normal size, with black-red musculature visible beneath the transformed flesh. 22 30
- Can manifest lethal Claws from his hands. 35
Personality
Han Lin is blunt, irreverent, and frequently teases his allies—particularly Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, and Howard Stark. His humor persists even in military settings, but he is calculating when negotiating for security, resources, or political leverage. 6 21 25 36
He is highly pragmatic in war. Han Lin favors infiltration, sabotage, assassination, and surprise attacks over frontal assaults, chiefly to reduce casualties among ordinary soldiers under his command. 21 25
His ruthlessness is balanced by a persistent fear of losing his humanity. He uses brutal interrogation and lethal force against Hydra and hostile gangs, yet consciously rejects a path of endless killing, devouring, and conquest. 33 35
Abilities & Skills
Blacklight Physiology
Han Lin possesses a body enhanced by the Blacklight Virus. His initial physical condition was assessed at approximately four times that of an ordinary human, later increasing threefold after a second enhancement. 3 18
- Recorded punching force of 650 kg and kicking force of 1,100 kg before later Form-based amplification. 8
- Ran 100 meters in 7.3 seconds, reached a maximum speed of 19 m/s, and jumped 7 meters high in Stark’s tests. 8
- His Warhammer Form raised his punching force to approximately 6,000 kg. 35
- Can run across walls and rooftops through adhesive movement. 5
- Regenerates after leaving combat; Regeneration Level Two unlocks after his second enhancement. 3 18
Danger Perception and Dynamic Vision
Han Lin possesses passive sensory abilities that warn him of danger and allow him to perceive incoming actions in a slowed state. 8 13
- Uses Danger Perception to avoid gunfire, tank fire, and close-range threats. 23
- Can voluntarily disable both abilities to make sparring and combat training more effective. 13
- His enhanced eyesight allows him to clearly see human-sized targets at up to 200 meters. 8
Rapid Learning
Han Lin learns physical, scientific, and weapons-related skills at an abnormal rate. His system also grants 25% additional experience from killing enemies. 3
- Learned firearms handling rapidly despite having no prior experience. 8
- Studied Super Soldier Serum research under Dr. Erskine and quickly mastered advanced biological knowledge. 13
- Progressed from absorbing Peggy Carter’s techniques to matching her in hand-to-hand sparring while using only a fraction of his strength. 13 14
- Refined his combat methods through repeated raids on Hydra research bases. 25
Firearms Level One
Han Lin’s firearm skill substantially improves the destructive power and ammunition efficiency of guns he uses. 8
- An eight-round M1 Garand clip can fire eleven shots from his weapons inventory. 19
- Uses pistols, sniper rifles, grenades, and captured Hydra weapons with exceptional accuracy. 19 23 27
- Killed nearly a hundred enemy soldiers through sniper fire during his first frontline battle. 19
Warhammer Form
Warhammer Form mutates Han Lin’s arms into enlarged impact weapons optimized against armor and groups. 22
- Doubles his Strength while halving attack speed. 22
- Ground strikes generate a fan-shaped field of spikes and a powerful shockwave. 22 27
- Crushed a tank’s driver compartment, then tore off its cannon barrel and turret. 23
- Chosen over Tendrils because Han Lin considered it more useful against mechanized forces. 22
Claws
Han Lin can manifest bladed Claws for close-quarters killing. 35
- Slaughtered Hydra spies at New York Harbor with sweeping claw attacks. 35
- Cut through an enhanced Hydra soldier’s alloy mask “like foam.” 48
- Uses Claws when firearms or Warhammer Form are unsuitable for rapid close combat. 35
Devourer
Devourer allows Han Lin’s Blacklight Virus to consume other beings and absorb their memories. He considers the ability dangerous and avoids using it whenever possible. 18
- His system autonomously devoured Dr. Arnim Zola after Han Lin was injured by an energy weapon. 49
- Absorbing Zola’s memories caused Han Lin to collapse and sleep for a day. 49
- The acquired memories impose significant psychological strain. 49
Glide and Extra Dash
Han Lin has aerial mobility skills that complement his wall-running and extreme jumping ability. 22 49
- Glide creates membrane-like extensions between his limbs, allowing brief airborne travel. 22
- Extra Dash unlocks during his pursuit of Schmidt’s train. 49
- Glide duration is limited; Han Lin still requires a parachute for longer descents. 22
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Weapon Storage — Spatial inventory used to carry firearms, ammunition, food, disguises, motorcycles, and battlefield supplies. 8 19 26

“I won't become anyone's weapon, nor will I target anyone.” 42
Trivia
- Han Lin initially had no experience with firearms and accidentally pointed a pistol at himself during his first shooting-range visit. 8
- He keeps five skill points in reserve rather than immediately maximizing Warhammer Form, fearing he may lose control of his strength. 35
- His concern over absorbed memories is one reason he views Devourer as an inhuman ability rather than a simple source of power. 18 49
