You Are Already an Upper-Grade Innate God and Devil, Having Achieved the Grand Unity Golden Immortal Realm, So I Shall Expound the Dao for You for a Thousand Years to Help You Comprehend...
According to legend, because the top-grade innate spiritual roots were feared by the Heavenly Dao, only three were allowed to undergo the transformation stage in the world.
The first was the Hollow Willow, which successfully underwent the transformation stage before the Heavenly Dao was fully established because it carried the power of the Chaos Demon God, becoming Yangmei Ancestor.
The second and third were the Innate Gengjin Bodhi Tree and the Twelfth-Grade White Lotus respectively. They carried the Western Qi, and ultimately underwent the transformation stage to become Zhunti and Jieyin.
If he elevated his own foundation to the top-grade level, he would likely suffer punishment from the Heavenly Dao, leading to the destruction of both his body and soul.
Therefore, Zhu Yin had planned ahead of time, elevating his foundation only to the limit of the upper-grade innate spiritual root. This would strengthen himself without triggering the heavenly punishment.
Moreover, the remaining main body of the Bitter Bamboo could still be used as a material for forging magical treasures, which was quite useful.
After figuring this out, Zhu Yin immediately took action, circulating his magic power to begin extracting the origin of the Bitter Bamboo.
A hundred years later, a huge origin spiritual pearl slowly condensed in his hand.
At the same time, the branches and leaves of the Bitter Bamboo withered, its luster dimmed, and it dropped from the top-grade to the upper-grade.
Although there was only a difference of one grade, the actual gap was like heaven and earth. Even a half-ruined top-grade spiritual root possessed an origin sufficient to nurture two upper-grade spiritual roots.
Looking at the origin spiritual pearl in his hand, Zhu Yin unhesitatingly revealed his true form... a towering Heaven-Piercing Jade Bamboo.
The precious pearl was swallowed into the spiritual jade bamboo's body, and its branches and leaves continuously shrank and changed, fusing with the origin. At the same time, that Bitter Bamboo was also shrouded in divine light and slowly refined.
Zhu Yin was not worried about offending Jieyin over this matter.
If he had forcefully snatched the Bitter Bamboo from Jieyin's hands, that would naturally have forged karma.
Yet right now, the Bitter Bamboo had acknowledged him as its master of its own accord, so it had nothing to do with Jieyin.
His conscience was completely clear.
In the lotus pond on Mount Sumeru.
Jieyin, who was repairing the Western Spiritual Vein in his dreams, suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze piercing through layers of void to look toward the Immaculate Hall.
When he saw Zhu Yin absorbing the origin of the Bitter Bamboo, a smile unexpectedly appeared on his originally solemn face.
This kid really has pretty good luck.
If Zhunti learns of this, he will surely be pleased as well.
If Zhu Yin could successfully advance, it would be a tremendous blessing for him, for Mount Sumeru, and for the entire Western Lands.
After merely casting a brief glance, Jieyin closed his eyes again and entered meditation, continuing to immerse himself in the state of cultivation through dreams.
He already knew in his heart that Zhu Yin would still need some time to refine the origin, and it would not be too late for him to come out of seclusion and guard him then.
Meanwhile, earth-shaking changes were taking place across the Primordial World.
After establishing the Heavenly Court, Dijun united with the Taiyin Star Lord and reached an agreement with Zhulong... as long as they did not interfere with the Dragon Clan, the authority to control the movement of the sun and moon would be handed over to the Heavenly Court.
Under the overall coordination of the Heavenly Court, the movement of the sun and moon aligned even more closely with the Heaven and Earth Laws, revealing boundless profoundness.
With the rising and setting of the sun and moon, six thousand years passed in the blink of an eye.
On this day, the sky above Mount Sumeru was densely covered with dark clouds, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled, and the color of heaven and earth changed.
Black clouds pressed down, blotting out the sun and sky, while thunder dragons and lightning shuttled through the firmament. The powerful aura of thunder caused all living beings to tremble with fear.
The dark clouds brewed for a full fifty-four days, symbolizing the Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation. The thunder clouds spread over millions of miles, blanketing the earth.
Finally, a cyan beam of light surged out from the Immaculate Hall.
Bursting through the mountain-guarding grand array, it revealed its figure between heaven and earth... and it was precisely a Heaven-Piercing Jade Bamboo.
The jade bamboo had lush foliage and a verdant body, standing straight and tall while emanating the purity divine light that illuminated the entire pitch-black thunder-clouded sky.
This was Zhu Yin's true form.
He stood quietly, raising his head to meet the tribulation.
Boom!
The thunder that had been brewing for a long time finally descended!
Tens of thousands of bolts of thunder tore through the vast sky, striking the jade bamboo.
With divine light protecting his body and the phantom of Mount Sumeru bestowing its blessing, he stood unmoving as a mountain.
The thunder kept crashing down, yet he remained as steadfast as a mountain or a peak, completely unshaken. Instead, he utilized the power of the thunder to temper his foundation.
The tribulation cloud was provoked, and the thunder grew even more violent.
The purity divine light and the power of vitality merged, transforming into a wondrous brilliance, while the phantom of Mount Sumeru gradually solidified and ultimately evolved into a heavy seal.
When the thunder tribulation had passed the halfway mark, the seal and the divine light gradually vanished, replaced by a white lotus and a pure bamboo.
The white lotus emitted a sacred radiance, shielding the jade bamboo from the thunder, while that pure bamboo took the initiative to meet the heavenly thunder, actually beginning to devour the power of the thunder!
Rumble!
Thunder shook the heavens, and countless bolts of lightning fell as if trying to destroy everything.
That Heaven-Piercing Jade Bamboo still stood like a mountain, not moving an inch as it let the thunder rage.
Fifty bolts of lightning struck down; the Ninth-Grade White Lotus had already vanished, and neither branch nor leaf of the jade bamboo was anywhere to be seen.
The final four strongest bolts of thunder were forcefully endured by the jade bamboo alone.
The violent lightning wreaked wanton destruction, scorching the branches, charring the trunk, and causing the entire bamboo to completely wither and die, looking utterly devoid of life as only a patch of scorched earth remained.
Yet, surprisingly, neither Jieyin nor Zhunti, who had already returned to the mountain, made a move to save it; instead, they wore smiles, as though they had known it would turn out this way all along.
Just as the thunderclouds were about to disperse, a soft sound suddenly came from between heaven and earth, resembling a celestial melody and carrying a sacred aura.
A tender shoot broke through the soil from the scorched earth.
The shoot was emerald green and vibrant, carrying exuberant vitality and brimming with hope.
As a gentle breeze blew, it swayed softly, and then it actually flew up bit by bit, rapidly growing and sprouting branches and leaves.
In the blink of an eye, a new jade bamboo broke through the ground, its trunk taller and straighter, its leaves greener and denser, and the entire bamboo exuding an intense aura of purity and life.
It had completed a nirvana rebirth!
The thunderclouds rumbled discontentedly a few times, but because the Heavenly Dao was set and their mission was fulfilled, they could only leave resentfully.
The Light of Creation showered down, and the Divine Rain nourished the earth.
The jade bamboo continuously absorbed them, growing ever more luxuriant, its aura strengthening by the moment.
When the radiance faded, a figure appeared in the spot where the bamboo had been.
It was a Daoist in cyan robes, his demeanor otherworldly, his face handsome and untainted by dust.
It was none other than Zhu Yin!
He murmured softly:
Everything of the past shall be considered dead as of yesterday; from today on, everything begins anew.
My former self was the Netherworld Bamboo, a lower-grade innate spiritual root; now I am Zhu Yin the Pure Bamboo, no longer the self of yesterday.
Boom!
The Heavenly Dao responded with rumbles of thunder, acknowledging Zhu Yin's vow.
With the fortune belonging to an Upper-Grade Innate Gods and Devils descending upon him, his entire person looked even more sacred.
Not lingering long in the sky, Zhu Yin immediately returned to Mount Sumeru.
Returning to Mount Sumeru
Zhu Yin entered the Bodhi Hall and bowed to Zhunti and Jieyin, who sat high above.
The two mighty figures exchanged a glance, and Zhunti said:
"For you to obtain this top-grade innate spiritual root, the Bitter Bamboo, survive a great tribulation without perishing, and ultimately reshape yourself is your great fortuitous encounter."
"I hope you can guard your Dao heart, avoid arrogance and complacency, and never let haughtiness blind your eyes and ruin your future path."
Zhu Yin solemnly bowed:
"This disciple will keep Master's teachings in mind, and will surely never forget his original aspiration and forge ahead resolutely."
Zhunti nodded and continued:
"Now that you are already an Upper-Grade Innate Gods and Devils who has attained the Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm, I shall expound the Dao for you for a millennium to help you comprehend the Dao of Grand Unity."
With that, profound Dao sounds spilled from his mouth.
The entire Bodhi Hall was instantly wreathed in spiritual Qi, shadows of dragons, phoenixes, and Qilin wandered about, and a giant Bodhi Tree manifested, emitting endless wisdom and divine light.
Zhu Yin concentrated with all his heart, immersing himself in the Dao sounds.
A Bodhi Seed hovered above his head, cascading down a light of wisdom to augment his comprehension, and he quickly sank into the profound mysteries of the Great Dao.
