Background / History

Zhu Yin was a modern-world transmigrant who awakened in the Desolate Ancient Era. After ten thousand years of cultivation, he formed an Innate Dao Body and established himself on Spirit Platform Mountain in the resource-poor Western Lands. He sustained his practice by repairing ley lines, cultivating spiritual plants, forging artifacts, and drawing upon the Netherworld Spirit Spring born with the Netherworld Bamboo. 1

While repairing earth veins, Zhu Yin encountered Zhunti and accepted him as master. At Mount Sumeru, he met Jieyin, who gave him the Ninth-Grade White Lotus. 2 He later absorbed Bitter Bamboo’s origin, deliberately limiting his foundation to avoid heavenly punishment; after surviving the Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation, he was reborn as Pure Bamboo and entered the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm. 7

Zhu Yin made Spirit Platform Mountain both a personal Dao field and a refuge for the Western Lands. He repaired earth veins, made Merit Spiritual Treasures through manual work, created the Hundred Treasures Hall and Merit Pavilion, and developed spirit-stone currency. These works earned repeated recognition and merit from the Heavenly Dao. 8 24

As his influence grew, he built alliances with the Witch Clan, the Four Seas Dragon Clans, the Hundred Illusion Butterfly Clan, the White Tiger Clan, and other groups. Spirit Platform Mountain eventually became a major Western power, comparable in status to the White Tiger Clan’s territory and Mount Sumeru. 32 52

After becoming a Quasi-Sage, Zhu Yin pursued a World Tree-style path founded on his bamboo true form, the Great Freedom Dao, the Three Thousand Worlds Divine Ability, and world-forming laws. 76 He later severed his Malicious Corpse as Devil Master Bo Xun, establishing a new Demonic Dao that received Heavenly Dao merit. 105

In later eras, Zhu Yin served as a Heavenly Court Emperor, helped build and govern cosmic order, supported the Human Clan, established the Western Netherworld and its Eighteen Levels of Hell, and ultimately relinquished most of his Heavenly Court authority after Haotian’s return. 123 141 147 150

Personality

He generally avoids unnecessary conflict, believing that exposing himself for marginal gains can invite dangerous karma; during the Immortal-Demon War, he withdrew once his objective was met rather than risk confronting stronger enemies. 20

His caution does not prevent him from acting decisively when opportunity or responsibility demands it. He ambushed and killed the severely injured Ancestor Xuanxin for his treasures, but also saved Hundred Herbs Fairy and the Longbo Giants, declaring that he would protect those under his care even if trouble followed. 20 39 40

As a leader, Zhu Yin is patient, strategic, and attentive to long-term benefit. He cultivates alliances slowly, waits for others to reveal their intentions in negotiations, and invests heavily in his disciples, Dao field, and the revival of the Western Lands. 29 33 77 160
