Pointing at Lupin with a finger, Dumbledore asked Kane with a cheerful smile.
"Lupin? He's great. Highly skilled, and a decent person too. He held off six people by himself. But how did you end up in this situation?" After speaking, Kane looked at Lupin.
He had wanted to ask that question before, but he had worried that they were not close enough. Things were different now, though. They had risked their lives together not long ago, so there was no problem asking.
Lupin gave an awkward cough. "Well, it's because of certain physical issues of mine. I hadn't told you before... I'm a werewolf. That's why I've always avoided Dumbledore's invitations. After all, as a young wizard, would you want your professor to be a werewolf?"
