Knock, knock, knock...

"I don't think you needed to knock every time you came in." Dumbledore slowly pulled open the door, still holding a cup of black tea as he stood in the doorway and looked at Kane.

"If I came in without knocking, you'd get mad again. I understand these polite formalities best." As Kane spoke, he walked past Dumbledore, grabbed a handful of almonds from his desk, and tossed them into his mouth with loud crunches.

"Mm-hmm~ Dumbledore, you really know how to eat." Raising his brows, Kane grabbed several more handfuls of almonds and fed them to Little Pumpkin, planning to save them as snacks for class later.

Only then did Dumbledore remember that he had indeed asked Kane to come by that morning.

Ah... so the mysterious bathroom was out of the question for now.

Dumbledore sat back down. "I have now narrowed down the Basilisk's approximate location."

Kane, who had been lazily lounging in his chair, suddenly sat up straighter. After all, Dumbledore had captured the spirit of this lion-like man with a single sentence.

In short, he had to sit up for something this important.

"Where is it?"

Dumbledore raised his brows. "I only have a clue pointing to its general direction. As long as I follow that clue, we'll be able to find the Basilisk."

Kane sank back into his chair.

What Dumbledore had done was, to some extent, rather shameless.

Curled back into his chair, Kane continued, "What's the clue?"

"I think you should let me ramble a little first. That way, you'll understand why this plan is necessary."

Kane: "Wow."

Seeing Kane's speechless expression, Dumbledore raised his brows. His kindly questioning of Lucius in the Headmaster's Office yesterday had not been for nothing.

Lucius had eagerly explained exactly what that mysterious
