The students had gathered in the classroom early, as usual. When the bell rang, Lupin entered with a large walking wardrobe following behind him.

Whatever else could be said, that trick alone stunned the young wizards in the classroom.

Although Professor Lockhart had become slightly more human-like after Dumbledore's little "enhancement" last term, his Transfiguration was nowhere near as impressive as Professor Lupin's.

A strange excitement began to grow in the students' hearts, and Lupin would soon prove that their excitement was entirely justified.

Unlike Quirrell, who had spent an entire term reading from the textbook, and Lockhart, who had started strong but gradually declined, Lupin immediately brought them a genuine Dark creature that was not particularly dangerous.

"Boggarts are Dark creatures that frighten people, but their danger level is limited... As for knowledge about them... do we have a Mr. or Miss Know-It-All here? I remember every year had at least one when I was in school."
