"What do you need?" Voldemort asked softly.
"Knowledge." Kane paused after speaking. He deeply doubted Professor Quirrell's teaching ability. As for Voldemort teaching him... he had the same doubts.
After all, had Voldemort ever been a professor? Could he teach students well?
Unfortunately, there was no turning back once the bow was drawn. He had just said it himself; changing his reason now would be far too deliberate.
"No problem. Come to my office every Wednesday evening from now on, and I will teach you personally." Unexpectedly, Voldemort agreed with astonishing ease, as though Kane's condition was not a condition at all, but a reward.
"Now, Kane, let me see what you can do. Consider it an early assessment of your abilities."
After speaking, Voldemort stood quietly where he was, intending to watch Kane perform. That black magic, seemingly innate and ingrained in his bones, was truly something one could never tire of watching~
Kane sighed. In the end, he still had to do it himself. But there was nothing much to say about it. Back in the Eternal Realm, even two butterflies flying by the roadside would have had to take a couple of punches. One Unicorn made no difference.
"Alive or dead?" he asked.
"Alive."
As Voldemort's words fell, Kane's shadow moved.
The shadow that had been firmly attached to him seemed to turn liquid, spreading in every direction and circling endlessly around the lonely Unicorn, which still had no idea what was happening.
Suddenly, several strange sounds rang out through the Forbidden Forest. It was not only the shadow that had just slipped away from Kane; centered on the Unicorn, more than half the surrounding shadows came alive.
Like boiling a frog in warm water, they slowly compressed the space in which the Unicorn could move.
