Qilin Clan vs. Luohou (Part Two)

The Qilin Clan's leaders heard that someone on Mount Buzhou had obtained a Top-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure. Delighted, they prepared to kill him and take it.

The Primordial Wilderness had never been governed by law. Killing someone for treasure happened all the time. This would hardly be the Qilin Clan's first attempt.

The Qilin Clan sent twenty-five of its elite: twelve Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals, twelve Zenith Heaven True Immortals, and one Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. The last one was no mere filler—though he was nearly as useless in a fight. He was their guide. Mount Buzhou was enormous, and finding one person there was no easy task. Just look at Luohou's search for Yuan Tian. He had searched for years without finding him. Without a guide, the clan would have had little hope. Why else would they bring a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal who would only slow them down?

The Qilin Clan's elite hurried along, racing to reach Luohou before he finished refining the Heavenly Demon Pagoda.

They were not too afraid of Luohou refining it. What worried them was that, once he was done, he would simply leave.

Where would the Qilin Clan find him then? Mount Buzhou was vast enough, and if he left the mountain, the search area would grow larger still. Finding him would be harder than finding a needle in a haystack.

Unfortunately for them, things would not go as planned.

Consider the Qilin who had first spotted Luohou: the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. His cultivation was respectable by the standards of the Primordial Wilderness. He could just about be called a minor expert. But moving quickly and freely on Mount Buzhou was beyond him, so his pace could hardly have been fast.
