Sealing Lin Tian (Part One)

"Qilin Clan. Lin Tian!" Lin Tian said without expression when Yuan Tian asked his name.

Yuan Tian had pocketed the treasures the Qilin Clan had amassed over countless years. How could Lin Tian possibly greet him with a smile? That would be stranger than seeing a ghost, and even in the Primordial Wilderness, it was too early for ghosts to appear.

"The Qilin Clan?"

Yuan Tian found nothing strange about Lin Tian's answer. It made perfect sense. This was Qilin Clan territory, their secret Small World.

If the expressionless man before him had not belonged to the Qilin Clan, that would have been strange. Yuan Tian would have wondered whether the man's cultivation was an act.

That was hardly an unreasonable thought. Given Lin Tian's cultivation, how else could he have arrived so quickly if he were not a member of the Qilin Clan? The Small World was protected by an array, with a Quasi-Sage and several Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals standing guard outside.

At a critical moment like this, the Qilin Clan would never have let an outsider enter the Small World without a fight.

They would not have been so accommodating even at an ordinary time. This was one of their most important sites. Only a handful of clan members even knew it existed, so why would they let an outsider in?

To get inside quickly, an outsider would have had to kill the guards. Even Yuan Tian could not have disposed of them that fast. If someone claimed Lin Tian had been holding back, who would believe it? Yuan Tian certainly would not.
