Sunshine Boy glanced at the four remaining stalks of mugwort in his hand, took out two more, and handed them to Wang Laoshi.
"I think Good Fortune Born is better suited to catching cattle!" Sunshine Boy said.
"Sunshine Boy!" Good Fortune Born growled in a suppressed voice, glaring furiously with clenched teeth and veins bulging across his forehead.
Wang Laoshi beamed. Just as before, he tucked one stalk into his bosom, wound the other around his finger, and pointed at Good Fortune Born.
"You go catch cattle."
Panic finally flashed in Good Fortune Born's eyes. He reached into his clothes and grabbed the Yin-Yang Fish-Dragon Jade Pendant around his neck. One white dragon's eye gleamed gold, while one black dragon's eye shone bright yellow.
The Yin-Yang Fish-Dragons slowly revolved, switching places as a crack split open between them.
Good Fortune Born's heart ached unbearably. This was his last life-saving treasure.
Wang Laoshi moved his arm and pointed once again at the cattle-catcher. "You go."
"Have you gone mad? Are you trying to perish together with me?!" Good Fortune Born growled through gritted teeth.
Sunshine Boy looked at the chicken-catcher, the sheep-catcher, and the cattle-catcher. After a long silence, he slowly said, "My abilities are limited. I can't save everyone, but I want to save as many as I can—one more, if possible."
"You can save whoever you want. Why drag me into this?!" Good Fortune Born snarled.
"Don't you know why yourself?" Sunshine Boy looked at Good Fortune Born.
Good Fortune Born fell silent.
Sunshine Boy picked up the final two stalks of mugwort in his hand and held them out to Wang Laoshi.
Good Fortune Born's scalp went numb, unprecedented terror churning in his eyes.
If this happened one more time, the Yin-Yang Fish-Dragon Jade Pendant would shatter completely,
