Background / History

Feng Qiwen was an eccentric elder of the Nine Spirits Sword Sect with a particular interest in formations. When Ye Yu joined the sect as Xu Wangchen, he selected Feng Qiwen as his master and was assigned to reside on his mountain peak. 131

For more than twenty years, Feng Qiwen searched for Xu Yunxi, described as his lost love. The Nine Spirits Sect Master exploited this desperation, compelling Feng Qiwen to agree to kill Ye Yu. 196 During their later confrontation, however, Feng Qiwen recognized Ye Yu's appearance and ring as connected to his “young lady,” causing him to hesitate and become emotional. 206

Afterward, Feng Qiwen travelled alongside Ye Yu and the Fat Monk. He repeatedly urged Ye Yu to return to the Xu Family, reflecting his loyalty to that family, though Ye Yu consistently refused. 285 286 Their relationship later suffered when Ye Yu discovered that Feng Qiwen had been spying on him. 350

Feng Qiwen is eccentric, emotionally driven, and persistent. His decades-long search for Xu Yunxi demonstrates unwavering devotion, but this same desperation leaves him vulnerable to manipulation. 196
