Background
Jiang Tu was a transmigrated orphan who grew from a hired farm laborer into a landowner through years of work. While in his early twenties, he unlocked the Farmer occupation after completing its farming-progress requirement, receiving the Sequence Golden Codex and the beginning of the Agricultural Dao Sequence. 1
He spent years reclaiming wasteland rather than chasing the opportunities of Dajiang County. His restraint earned Big Household Zhou’s trust: Jiang Tu received a farmstead south of Locust Tree Village, ten mu of fertile land, oxen, a grain storehouse, and farmhands. 3
The destruction of Dajiang County and the near-erasure of the Agricultural Dao Sequence convinced him that exposure was fatal. When the sequence’s cultivator count collapsed from more than a hundred to only a few survivors, he spent Karma Value to bestow Kindling Flame and Endless Renewal, attempting to preserve its future. 9 10
He married Zhou Ning'e, Big Household Zhou’s daughter, after refusing to marry into the Zhou family. Though he initially regarded marriage as a useful public cover, he came to trust Zhou Ning'e as an intelligent and steady partner, eventually revealing parts of his hidden cultivation life to her. 16 28 29
After Rong Yidao harassed Zhou Ning'e, Jiang Tu organized a remote assassination using three Straw Figures. He killed Rong, replaced him with an Earthwalking Straw Figure, and covertly took control of Welcoming Wind City’s Agricultural Path affairs; the replacement improved agricultural output and established an Agricultural Academy. 43 48 50 51
In later years, Jiang Tu adopted the identity of his son, Jiang Liu, to continue operating across generations without exposing his longevity. After Zhou Ning'e vanished and was erased from others’ memories, he devoted himself to reaching a higher realm and finding her. 73 74 80
Appearance
Jiang Tu was initially a tall young man with broad shoulders, a sturdy back, sharp facial contours, and sun-darkened skin from farm work. His physique became increasingly robust through cultivation; in later life, he is described as having an ancient, aged appearance. 1 3 76
- Healthy bronze complexion and a solid, practical build. 3
- Striking brows and eyes retaining a youthful clarity in his early years. 1
- Commonly presents himself as an ordinary, hardworking farmer or a restrained Daoist cultivator to avoid suspicion. 3 52
Personality
Jiang Tu is exceptionally cautious. Chen Cun’s death and Dajiang County’s destruction reinforce his belief that visibility invites disaster, so he avoids public credit, refuses dangerous secrets, and develops the Agricultural Path indirectly rather than openly claiming leadership. 4 11 12 21
He is patient, methodical, and practical. He spends years accumulating evolution duration, studying agricultural inheritances, cultivating premium crops, and preparing resources before attempting major breakthroughs. 6 27 33 81
Despite his restraint, he is fiercely protective of those he considers family. Rong Yidao’s treatment of Zhou Ning'e provokes Jiang Tu’s killing intent and leads him to orchestrate Rong’s death, even though doing so risks exposing his concealed power. 43 44 49
