Background

Origin

Twenty years after Heavenfall, humanity completed a great migration and rebuilt agriculture in Auspicious Land. In New Apple City, the slave Luo Jin awakened Awakened Wisdom at age twelve and became the first Farmer in human history, founding a cultivation route accessible without innate bones, spiritual roots, or a Dao Foundation 1.

Luo Jin gathered slaves, taught them farming knowledge, and established Old Farmer Hall. The movement later opened Shennong Valley to secretly cultivate Premium Quality crops and medicinal herbs, forming the early foundation of the Agricultural Path 5 6.

Growth, suppression, and survival

The Agricultural Path spreads primarily through direct inheritance: masters teach disciples, experienced cultivators guide newcomers, and sincere instruction improves the cultivation of both teacher and student 6. This dependence on concentrated teaching made the path vulnerable when the Daoist Sect deliberately scattered Field Stewards across Jiang Prefecture to slow the emergence of higher realms 40 51.

The Daoist Sect also exploited Agricultural Path cultivators as tools for reclaiming forbidden lands. Cultivators who could not be controlled were sent into dangerous areas, where their deaths purified corrupted soil and aided land restoration 20.

Despite persecution, the path endured through scattered communities, agricultural academies, Green Mountain Lake’s Qin Household, and Welcoming Wind City’s Rong Residence Agricultural Academy 50 51 54.

Divine development

During the evolution history, Luo Jin rebuilt the movement as Snow Auspice Hall, which expanded across five cities and developed a large network of cultivators, Land Spirits, and hidden supporters 57 58.

Luo Jin ultimately traded his life for the Agricultural Path’s survival. His sacrifice and the accumulated incense-fire of the people created the Sixth Grade Agricultural Path Official, while Luo Jin became the Agricultural Ancestor preserved in the Primordial Spring and Autumn record 65 66 67.

Core Principles

Awakening and qualification

Agricultural Path cultivation values a sincere heart and reverence for the earth rather than birth, age, talent, or status. A lifelong farmer and a child who loves watching seeds sprout may both awaken, while one who treats farming only as unwanted drudgery cannot readily enter the path 6.

Non-Coexistence of Paths

A person cannot simultaneously retain Agricultural Path cultivation and cultivation from an entirely different path, such as the Daoist Sect’s inheritance 67.

Field Stewards can travel through soil and manipulate earth during cultivation. Qin Household cultivators use Earth Escape for plowing, harvest work, and rapid travel between fields 30.

Straw Figure Technique

Luo Jin’s repeated experiments produced an Earthwalking Straw Figure capable of moving and changing appearance, though the earliest version was slow, foolish, and lacked combat ability 26.
