Background / History

Li Wei used Reputation Points to obtain a single-use blueprint and had his system construct 2B. Although designated a YoRHa Type B combat android, she is described as a 2E executioner. She retains memories of fighting machine lifeforms on a devastated Earth, where her mission was to protect humanity 1 2.

On activation, 2B lunged at Li Wei in excitement at seeing a human, accidentally breaking his sofa under her weight. She apologized and pledged to protect him exclusively. Li Wei subsequently relied on her for driving, household work and close protection 1 2 3.

Appearance

2B has a slender, lifelike body despite being entirely mechanical and weighing 148.8 kilograms. She stands 168 centimetres tall in heels 1 7 35.

• White bobbed hair and a black Tactical Visor 1 2.
• A black gothic combat outfit, gloves and thigh-high heeled boots; she prefers this outfit when going out 1 3 21.
• Bionic skin that feels human and can make her difficult to distinguish from a person 7 15.

Personality

2B is formal, disciplined and usually aloof. She calls Li Wei “Master,” follows his instructions and puts his safety ahead of other concerns. After rescuing Professor Connors, she declined to pursue his attacker because her assigned mission was to protect him 2 3 5.

Her composure does not mean she lacks feelings. She worries about Li Wei’s recklessness, smiles when given White Contract and becomes more assertive about attending to him when other androids compete for the role 6 8 236.

Combat

2B’s mechanical strength, speed and downloaded fighting styles make her a formidable close-range fighter 5 26.

• Dodged gunfire and overpowered Yelena during an attempted abduction of Professor Connors 5.
• Used a Perfect Dodge to disarm Mr. Negative, then subdued him without killing him because he was human 26.
• Fought Chitauri soldiers with a greatsword during the Battle of New York 194.

Sensors and recording

• Her Tactical Visor does not prevent her from driving; an assisting drone gives her 360-degree battlefield coverage 2 3.
• Can record and replay footage, as well as analyze scents, traces and other environmental details 6 110.

Sandevistan enhancement

• Received a Militech “Apogee” Sandevistan spine and activated it through her neural interface. Its altered perception of time lets her move so quickly that Li Wei initially mistook the movement for teleportation 35 36.
• Her mechanical body sustained activation for several minutes during testing, longer than Eve’s flesh-and-machine body 36.

Domestic and personal assistance

• Cooks, cleans, drives and attends to Li Wei’s daily needs. She also learns to moderate her strength when massaging him 2 3 7 15.

• White Contract — 2B’s designated sword, given to her by Li Wei. It is listed as approximately 139 centimetres long and 25 kilograms in weight, and can attach magnetically to her back 8.

Relationships

• Eve — a fellow protector of Li Wei. 2B initially disputes Eve’s claim to be human because Eve has machinery in her body 28.
• Red Queen — Li Wei’s AI assistant. 2B objects when Red Queen enters her body to experience having a physical form; Red Queen later supervises her Sandevistan tests 10 36.
• Professor Connors — a researcher whom 2B rescues and escorts to safety on Li Wei’s orders 5.
• Raven — a fellow combat android who challenges 2B over who should attend to Li Wei. Neither yields until Li Wei intervenes 236.
