Osato sensed an intense threat and immediately abandoned his pursuit of Mary. His enormous body lashed backward. In his Golden Python form, he was exceptionally agile.

It was a head-on clash, yet Osato's vicious lash felt as though it had struck an incredibly thick wall, failing to budge it at all.
When he turned around, he discovered an incomparably massive beast behind him. It radiated a powerful aura, along with a faint sense of bloodline suppression.

Osato was knowledgeable and immediately recognized Merlin's high-rank giant beast bloodline. He was utterly shocked. This was a high-rank giant beast bloodline-even the rebel leaders who had achieved Full Beastification did not possess one.
If someone with a high-rank giant beast bloodline reached Full Beastification, they would be truly terrifying.
"How could you have a high-rank giant beast bloodline? Who exactly are you?"
Osato was on full alert. Although he could tell that his opponent had only reached the Third Beastification Form, the terror of a high-rank giant beast bloodline had always been the stuff of legends. He had never faced one himself, so naturally, he was extremely cautious.
"Count Stanwen was my father!"
Merlin's voice was calm. He had followed Mary and the other two into Xita City and watched their identities get exposed. Only when Osato made his move did Merlin launch his surprise attack.
But surprise was all he had achieved. Osato's Golden Python was extremely agile, and Merlin's ambush had accomplished little.
Still, if an ambush would not work, he would defeat him head-on. Merlin was determined to kill Osato.
