The young Leo now had a different soul within him: Merlin, who had been forced into this entirely new Dimensional World. He had originally intended to do what he had done while residing inside Sterman in the Void Realm, leaving the living being's own consciousness unaffected.
But he had still underestimated the rules of this entirely new Dimensional World. Merlin's Illusory World had already all but collapsed, and the moment he entered this world, its rule power had set its sights on him.
Fortunately, Merlin reacted quickly. As soon as he spotted Leo, he swiftly entered his body. He had never expected this world's rules to be so overbearing that they would pursue him straight into Leo's body.
That earlier rumble of thunder had, in fact, been this entirely new Dimensional World pursuing Merlin. Left with no choice, Merlin forcibly erased Leo's consciousness and took over his body. After doing so, however, he noticed that a faint yet close connection was gradually forming between him and this entirely new Dimensional World.
The memories in Merlin's mind were now terribly confused, and his own condition was far from good. Disastrous, even. His Illusory World had completely collapsed, leaving only a trace of its most fundamental rules.
Fortunately, that trace of rules was the core of the Illusory World. As long as it remained, he could gradually restore the Illusory World in the future.
"Young Master Leo, we're here!"
The guard's voice roused Merlin from his thoughts. Although his current situation was a mess, and he had not even had time to sort it out, he knew this was not the moment. He would first assume "Leo's" identity and observe this Dimensional World.
"I understand."
