Ch. 740Atlan Civilization!

Merlin used the Matrix to uncover the Atlan Civilization’s history and gain access to a damaged warship, but he could not start it because its energy was depleted. He fed Elemental Crystals into the ship’s High-Energy Power Furnace to see whether they could power it.

  • Merlin had the Matrix scan and analyze the warship, revealing the Atlan Civilization’s technology and its war with the Spellcaster Civilization.
  • Merlin learned that the Atlan Civilization had devastated the Land of Glory before the Spellcaster Civilization gained the upper hand and confined it to the Atlan Plane.
  • Merlin asked the Matrix to control the warship, and it acquired the ship’s highest-level access.
  • Merlin ordered the damaged warship to start, but the attempt failed because its energy was depleted.
  • Merlin learned that the warship’s High-Energy Power Furnace could convert materials into energy and put more than ten thousand Elemental Crystals into it.

Ch. 741Warship Activation!

Merlin activated the damaged Atlan Empire-Class Warship and learned that it could be repaired with enough energy and Repair Robots. After discovering the vessel could manufacture powerful Combat Robots, he ordered the Matrix to begin producing Martial Arts Robots.

  • Merlin fed Elemental Crystals into the High-Energy Power Furnace until the warship reached eleven percent energy, then ordered the Matrix to activate it.
  • Merlin learned that the warship was over ninety percent damaged but could be repaired over decades if its intact furnace powered Repair Robots.
  • Merlin ordered one hundred Repair Robots manufactured and explored the warship while they were being built.
  • The Matrix reported that the Repair Robots were ready, but Merlin learned that energy reserves were insufficient for full repairs and asked about the warship's Combat Robots.
  • Merlin learned that Martial Arts Robots could match Great Legendaries and ordered the Matrix to manufacture them immediately.

Ch. 742Leaving

Merlin repaired part of the warship, used its remaining energy to bring captured robots under his control, and stored the damaged ship in a spatial ring before leaving the Origin Monarch’s space. He departed without the four Martial Puppets, but vowed to return and pass the third trial.

  • Merlin repaired the Martial Arts Robot manufacturing bay, but learned that making one Martial Arts Robot required the warship’s full energy and that producing other robots also demanded substantial energy.
  • Merlin repaired the chip room, replaced the chips in four captured Special-Grade Robots, and took control of five more Special-Grade Robots and thirteen ordinary robots found aboard the warship.
  • Merlin ordered the warship to conserve energy, collected it into his largest spatial ring, and received the Silver Puppet’s permission to take it away.
  • Merlin visited the four Martial Puppets and asked to take them, but the Silver Puppet warned that the space’s defenses would kill anyone who tried to seize them by force.
  • Merlin vowed to return and pass the third trial, then left the space created by the Origin Monarch.

Ch. 743The Violet-Gold Crown (Part One)

Merlin forced Osum to join the Spellcaster Alliance and headed for the Northern Spellcaster World. At the Pros River, the Eighth Prince prepared to defend the Black Moon Kingdom against the Holy Light Empire with the Violet-Gold Crown as his last hope.

  • Merlin emerged at Osum Headquarters, survived Savallon and Telian's ambush, and revealed that he had killed Klais.
  • Merlin summoned twenty-two robots from Origin Monarch's Space, prompting Savallon and Telian to reconsider fighting him.
  • Savallon and Telian agreed to join the Spellcaster Alliance, and Merlin ordered them to stop hunting Spellcasters and manage the Southern Spellcaster World.
  • Merlin left Osum with the Three-Headed Demon Dragon to travel to the Northern Spellcaster World.
  • The Holy Light Empire attacked the Black Moon Kingdom's army across the Pros River, where the Eighth Prince arrived with the Violet-Gold Crown and vowed to hold the kingdom's land.

Ch. 744Violet-Gold Crown (Part 2)

The Holy Light Empire launched its decisive attack on the Black Moon Kingdom, confident that a Holy Believer and its powerful clergy could overcome the Spellcaster World. As the thirteen archbishops and chief inquisitors brought down a Sword of Judgment, the Eighth Prince used the Violet-Gold Crown to shield the camp.

  • Fairland told Archbishop Nananni that the Holy Light Empire had a Holy Believer ready to face the Black Moon Kingdom’s Spellcasters.
  • The Holy Light Empire attacked across the frozen Pros River, and the Eighth Prince and Marshal Kaisli prepared the Black Moon Kingdom’s forces for battle.
  • Black Moon Kingdom Spellcasters disrupted the charging cavalry, while the Eighth Prince and Marshal Kaisli recognized that ordinary soldiers were helpless against the powerful Mages.
  • Thirteen archbishops and chief inquisitors conjured a Sword of Judgment over the Black Moon Kingdom’s camp, leaving Marshal Kaisli in despair.
  • The Eighth Prince removed the Violet-Gold Crown and called on it to defend the land, and its enormous phantom formed to confront the descending sword.

Ch. 745Holy Believers!

The Holy Light Empire sent Holy Emissary Bonnet to attack the Black Moon Kingdom's Violet-Gold Crown after thirteen archbishops and chief inquisitors failed to break it. Meanwhile, Merlin united the Spellcaster World and warned its leaders that it faced possible annihilation.

  • The Violet-Gold Crown withstood the combined attack of thirteen powerful members of the Holy Light Empire, reassuring the Eighth Prince until Fairland summoned Holy Emissary Bonnet.
  • Bonnet emerged from a rift in space, identified as one of three ascetic Holy Emissaries, and shattered space with a finger as he approached the crown.
  • Merlin gathered more than forty Archmages from the northern Spellcaster organizations and secured their agreement to join the Spellcaster Alliance.
  • Merlin offered the gathered Spellcasters knowledge about magic and becoming Great Legendaries, and explained that the Alliance had access to these resources.
  • Merlin told the assembled Archmages that the Spellcaster World could face annihilation, leaving the hall silent.

Ch. 746The Spellcaster World Shaken!

Merlin warned the Spellcaster World that the Light Church was its greatest threat, and the Holy Light Empire’s defeat of the Black Moon Kingdom convinced the Archmages to unite under the Spellcaster Alliance. As the alliance prepared to join forces with the Black Moon Royal Family, the Eighth Prince learned that Merlin had founded it and killed Klais.

  • Merlin warned the Archmages that the Light Church threatened the Spellcaster World and urged them to wait for the outcome of the war between the Holy Light Empire and the Black Moon Kingdom.
  • Bonnet shattered the Violet-Gold Crown at the Pros River, forcing the Eighth Prince and Marshal Kaisli to retreat as the Holy Light Empire won the battle.
  • After learning that the Holy Light Empire was arresting and killing Spellcasters in the Black Moon Kingdom, forty-five Archmages accepted Merlin’s leadership and prepared to join the Royal Family in the Royal Capital.
  • The Eighth Prince learned from Marshal Kaisli that Osum and the seven major organizations had become the Spellcaster Alliance, and that its founder, Wilson Merlin, had killed Klais.
  • The Eighth Prince rose in astonishment when Marshal Kaisli identified Mage Merlin as Wilson Merlin.

Ch. 747Repairing the Warship (Part One)

Merlin arrived at the Royal Capital with more than forty Archmages and allied the Spellcaster Alliance with the Black Moon Kingdom against the approaching Holy Light Empire. As the city prepared for battle, Merlin ordered the damaged Atlantean Empire-Class Warship repaired, leaving the outcome uncertain.

  • Merlin arrived at the Royal Capital with the Spellcaster Alliance's Archmages and met King Butuo XVII.
  • Butuo XVII revealed that a Holy Believer had broken the Violet-Gold Crown at the Battle of the Pros River, and Merlin suspected the Light God Lord was projecting power through the seal.
  • Merlin and Butuo XVII agreed to defend the Royal Capital, which the Holy Light Empire was expected to reach within seven days.
  • Archmages reinforced the city's rune arrays as ordinary people fled and Spellcasters gathered for the coming battle.
  • Merlin loaded nearly all the Spellcaster World's gathered Elemental Crystals into the warship's High-Energy Power Furnace, raising its energy to twenty-five percent.
  • Merlin ordered the Matrix to repair the warship's broken sections and stop when its energy fell to five percent.

Ch. 748Repairing the Warship (Part Two)

Merlin sought Elemental Crystals from the Black Moon Royal Family to repair the Atlan Empire-Class Warship before the Holy Light Empire arrived. The Eighth Prince pledged the family’s entire supply, hoping Merlin’s victory would let the Black Moon Kingdom expand and perhaps become an empire.

  • Merlin decided the warship’s energy needs required far more Elemental Crystals than he could readily obtain and went to see Butuo XVII.
  • The Eighth Prince offered Merlin one million, then five million and ten million Elemental Crystals, but Merlin said none of those amounts would be enough.
  • The Eighth Prince asked whether Merlin could defeat the Holy Light Empire with enough crystals, and Merlin promised he could destroy it completely.
  • Merlin told the Eighth Prince he would not interfere with the Black Moon Kingdom’s rule after the war, and the prince offered every Elemental Crystal the royal family owned.
  • The Eighth Prince led Merlin into the Inner Hall.

Ch. 749Repairing the Warship (Part Two)

Merlin discovered the Black Moon Royal Family’s vast Elemental Crystal reserves and the Molta Empire vein that supplied them. He used the crystals to fully power the Atlan warship and began its complete repairs, ordering robots to mine more crystals as needed.

  • The Eighth Prince led Merlin to a hidden chamber beneath a statue, where they found huge piles of Elemental Crystals and an enormous mineral vein.
  • The Eighth Prince explained that the Molta Empire had once owned the vein and that the Royal Family’s ancestors had used it and the empire’s legacies to found the Black Moon Kingdom.
  • Merlin agreed to help the Eighth Prince reunite the world if they defeated the Holy Light Empire, and the Eighth Prince left him alone with the crystals.
  • Merlin spent ninety-five million Elemental Crystals to restore the warship’s energy to one hundred percent, then ordered the Matrix to repair the entire vessel, prioritizing its broken section.
  • When the chamber’s crystals ran low, Merlin had the warship manufacture Mining Robots to excavate the vein.

Ch. 751The Army at the Gates (Part One)

Fairland advanced toward the Black Moon Capital, confident that the Light Church could defeat the Royal Family and the newly united Spellcaster Alliance. Merlin repaired an Atlan Empire-Class Warship and discovered its Annihilation Cannon could break down laws, while the Eighth Prince warned that the Holy Light Empire would reach the capital in half a day.

  • Fairland learned that the Spellcaster Alliance had joined the Royal Family at the capital, but he continued his march, trusting in the Holy Believers and God's power.
  • The Matrix finished repairing Merlin's Empire-Class Warship after its robots mined Elemental Crystals to replenish its energy.
  • Merlin learned that the warship's Annihilation Cannon could break down laws and destroy Planes, but firing it required half the vessel's energy.
  • The Eighth Prince entered Merlin's chamber and warned him that the Holy Light Empire's army would reach the capital gates in half a day.

Ch. 752The Army at the Gates (Part Two)

Merlin prepared for the Holy Light Empire’s arrival as Spellcasters gathered to defend the Royal Capital behind eighteen layers of Rune Formations. The empire halted before the defenses, then sent Holy Believer Bonnet forward to break through.

  • The Eighth Prince told Merlin that the Holy Light Empire had arrived, and Merlin said his preparations were nearly complete as his warship approached full charge.
  • Spellcasters from across the world gathered at the Royal Capital, where the Eighth Prince and nearly fifty Archmages prepared to face the invading army.
  • Fairland ordered his forces to halt before the Rune Formations and summoned the archbishops, chief inquisitors, and Holy Believer Bonnet.
  • The Inquisition’s chief inquisitor said breaking the formations would take half a month, or three days with an all-out assault, so Fairland asked Bonnet to help.
  • Bonnet walked toward the Royal Capital’s eighteen Rune Formations while the defenders watched the empire’s army.
  • The Eighth Prince recognized Bonnet as the Holy Believer who had shattered the Violet-Gold Crown’s defenses, and the Spellcasters sensed the danger.

Ch. 753Purification

Bonnet destroyed the Royal Capital’s Rune Formations and began killing its defenders with holy light, leaving the Archmages unable to stop him. As the Eighth Prince feared for the city and searched for Merlin, the Three-Headed Demon Dragon rose into the sky with someone atop it.

  • Bonnet’s holy light corroded all eighteen layers of the Royal Capital’s Rune Formations while more than forty Archmages attacked him without harming him.
  • Bonnet spread light across the city, briefly beguiling Spellcasters before declaring that they would be purified and causing many to melt away.
  • The Eighth Prince and the other Spellcasters searched desperately for Merlin, believing he might be their only chance against Bonnet.
  • Fairland watched Bonnet’s victory and anticipated the Light Church taking control of the world.
  • The Three-Headed Demon Dragon spread its wings and rose above the Royal Capital with a figure standing on its head.

Ch. 754The Light God Lord

Merlin defeated Bonnet, a Holy Believer empowered by the Light God Lord, and sealed him in the damaged God-Sealing Disc, stripping away his Divinity. The Light God Lord sensed the loss, realized a powerful Legendary Mage had emerged in the sealed Land of Glory, and sent his consciousness there.

  • Merlin arrived at the city wall and found Bonnet wielding the Light God Lord's divine power against the defenders.
  • Merlin overwhelmed Bonnet with his Five-Element Mage's Heart, then used the God-Sealing Disc to capture him and tear away his Divinity.
  • The God-Sealing Disc cracked under the power of the Light God Lord's Divinity, and Merlin sensed a distant gaze upon him.
  • The Light God Lord discovered that the trace of Divinity given to Bonnet had been destroyed and recalled his efforts to regain control of the Land of Glory.
  • The Light God Lord concluded that a powerful Legendary Mage had arisen in the sealed Land of Glory and extended his consciousness toward it.

Ch. 755Six-Element Archmage!

After helping the Black Moon Kingdom defeat the Holy Light Empire, Merlin used the Light God Lord’s divinity to attempt a dangerous fusion of his Mage’s Hearts. He succeeded in becoming a Six-Element Archmage.

  • Merlin and nearly fifty Archmages defeated the Holy Light Empire’s forces outside the Royal Capital, though Pope Fairland escaped with a spatial treasure.
  • Merlin told the Eighth Prince that the Holy Light Empire and Light Church still remained, then returned to his castle to rest.
  • Merlin examined the damaged God-Sealing Disc and used its trapped divinity to protect his Mage’s Hearts as he began fusing them.
  • The divinity’s light and return to darkness gave Merlin new insight into dark-element spells, and he continued the fusion after the divinity ran out.
  • Merlin contemplated the eternal nature of laws as his Mage’s Hearts fused, and he became a Six-Element Archmage with a Rainbow Mage’s Heart.

Ch. 756Return to Blackwater City (Part One)

After completing his Six-Element Mage's Heart, Merlin reached power close to that of a Titled Legend and decided to aim for a Supreme Law. He rallied the Spellcaster Alliance and the Black Moon Royal Family to destroy the Light Church, setting an expedition for three days later as he prepared to return to Blackwater City and keep his promise to his family.

  • Merlin emerged from seclusion with his Spells complete and resolved to pursue a Supreme Law rather than form an ordinary Law.
  • Merlin summoned the Archmages and Butuo XVII, then announced his plan to destroy the Light Church and make the world a Free Land of Spellcasters.
  • The Eighth Prince and the Archmages, including Osum and the seven large Spellcaster Organizations of the north, pledged support for Merlin's campaign.
  • Merlin left preparations to Butuo XVII and set the expedition against the Holy Light Empire to depart in three days.
  • Merlin thought of his promise to take his father and Shirley back to Blackwater City.

Ch. 758Return to Blackwater City (Part 2)

Fairland ordered the Holy Light Church to retreat to Bright City after receiving news of the Black Moon Kingdom’s advance, then learned that a new divine oracle had arrived. As the Black Moon Kingdom occupied Blackwater City, Merlin returned to Wilson Castle and was recognized by old Gute.

  • Fairland ordered the Church’s personnel to withdraw to Bright City, and two Holy Believers told him they had received a new divine oracle.
  • The Black Moon Kingdom occupied Blackwater City after the Church clergy and city defenders fled, and its forces began arresting and killing devout believers.
  • Black Moon Kingdom knights seized old Gute because of the Douglan Family’s ties to the Light Church and brought him to Wilson Castle.
  • The knight commander said the kingdom had ordered Wilson Castle reclaimed and was waiting for a great Mage.
  • Merlin arrived at Wilson Castle on a three-headed monster, and old Gute recognized him.

Ch. 759Fat Old Man Gute

Merlin reunited with his childhood friend Gute in Blackwater City and returned to Wilson Castle, which Gute had preserved for him. After hearing how Gute built the Douglan Family into a vast merchant power, Merlin let Gute’s granddaughter Andi meet the Three-Headed Demon Dragon, leaving Gute content with his life.

  • Merlin recognized Gute and entered Wilson Castle with him, where Gute explained that he had bought and maintained it after Merlin left.
  • Merlin learned that Old Wilson and Shirley were still traveling to Blackwater City and agreed to hear about Gute’s life at the Douglan castle.
  • Gute told Merlin how his business grew into the world’s largest merchant family and introduced his granddaughter Andi.
  • Andi asked to touch the Three-Headed Demon Dragon, and Merlin brought her to it after ordering the dragon not to harm anyone.
  • Andi happily stroked the dragon while Gute watched with satisfaction, and Merlin sensed that his old friend had few regrets.

Ch. 760Come Out

Merlin visited the dying Kailisi in Mandy Castle and stayed with her as she passed away, leaving him overwhelmed by loneliness. As he walked away through the night, he sensed someone nearby and ordered them to come out.

  • Gute asked Merlin to protect the Douglan Family, and Merlin promised to secure its standing in the Black Moon Kingdom.
  • Gute told Merlin that Anson had died and that Kailisi had never married, had inherited the Mandy Family, and was now gravely ill.
  • Merlin entered Mandy Castle at night and found Kailisi, who recognized him and spoke with him about their past and the years since his departure.
  • Kailisi died peacefully while holding Merlin's hand, and Merlin covered her with a blanket before leaving the castle unseen.
  • Merlin walked alone through the dark night, stopped, and called for the hidden presence to come out.

Ch. 761The Descent of a Will!

Merlin fought two Holy Believers and defeated one, but their sacrifices briefly weakened the seal around the Land of Glory. The Light God Lord used the opening to descend through the surviving believer, leaving Merlin facing a foe comparable to a Middle God.

  • Merlin confronted two Holy Believers waiting outside Mandy Castle and discovered their power had been forced far beyond what their bodies could bear.
  • Merlin used his Rainbow Mage's Heart to overwhelm the believers with fire, darkness, and ice Spells.
  • One Holy Believer sacrificed his life to break free and briefly open a gap in the seal protecting the Land of Glory.
  • The Light God Lord used the gap to seize the surviving Holy Believer, whose power rose as his life and consciousness faded.
  • The seal closed, but the Light God Lord's will had already descended into the believer's body, and Merlin realized he faced a foe comparable to a Middle God.
