(Miluno)
"You said the total amount of darkness wasn't enough?"
Ceruno questioned Stratos's explanation.
"Miluno has absorbed all of Azura's Dark Energy! In theory, she should be twice as strong as before. Why could she maintain her ideals before, but not now? If this is only Mono's consciousness, then where is Miluno's consciousness?"
I'm right here!
Yet she couldn't sense my existence. Maybe this was the greatest distance in the world.
Stratos answered with considerable arrogance as well:
"The specifications of the 'Great Will' are entirely different from low-level intelligences like you humans."
Her tone was arrogant, but what she said was indeed true.
Two AA batteries could power a toy car, but they couldn't power a new-energy vehicle.
And the gap between "humans" and "gods" might have been even greater than that.
Stratos offered another explanation.
"The 'Great Will' is our creator, while humans are so much weaker than us. To force your way into the rank of gods with a body of flesh and blood, and step into the creator's domain... that is indeed rather fantastical. Losing control is only to be expected."
That old woman was as arrogant as ever. Or rather, she looked down on people like dirt?
Then why hadn't she said any of this before making me drink the Black Light Reagent? Was she really unwilling to admit her own mistake?
Unfortunately, even if I had complaints, I couldn't open my mouth to snap back at her right now.
Ceruno had no mind to dwell on that and merely asked:
"Professor, is there any way to save Miluno? You can't let her keep hugging me forever, can you?"
Stratos gently stroked the water-bun-like Azura. Azura made little "plop, plop" noises, though I had no idea how she was producing them.
She answered, "I don't
