Chen An's question left Gu Yue silent for two seconds, her tone growing noticeably more solemn.

"Bi Ji came into contact with a group of visiting Evil Soul Masters from the Holy Spirit Cult."

"Evil Soul Masters?"

Chen An's expression instantly turned serious.

Those lunatics from the Holy Spirit Cult had always been willing to use any means necessary. Why had they set their sights on soul beasts again?

Gu Yue nodded slightly.

"They came to us on their own to discuss cooperation, and the terms they offered were very tempting. They were willing to use the Holy Spirit Cult's resources to help us revive the soul beast race."

There was no such thing as a free lunch. Evil Soul Masters were all connected to the Abyss—how could they possibly help soul beasts rise again?

It felt like one of those plots where they used some filthy unknown substance to contaminate the remaining soul beasts and turn them into nourishment for their Evil Soul Masters.

"Have you come into contact with any Evil Soul Masters recently?"

Gu Yue raised her eyes and looked straight at him as she asked seriously.

"I ran into them a few times."

Chen An did not hide anything and answered truthfully.

"In Shrek City and Heaven Dou City, I encountered scattered Evil Soul Masters hiding in the cities.

There were some in Eastsea City too. I tried my best to avoid them."

Upon hearing this, Gu Yue turned her head toward the cold wall, extreme contempt and disgust flashing through her eyes.

"A pack of vermin. They grow stronger by slaughtering living beings and plundering life energy. Their actions are despicable, and they have no bottom line."

She suddenly turned back, her expression stern as she warned him.

"Remember this: hide every one of your
