Background / History

Huo Wushuang is Huo Wu’s older brother and a member of the Fire Clan, the family associated with Blazing Fire Academy. Alongside Huo Wu, he became one of the academy’s feared young “tyrants”: their superior innate talent and early advancement to Soul Master rank left most peers unable to oppose them. He was assigned a single dormitory after other students became too intimidated to room with him. 8

His One-Horned Flame Tyrannosaur is a high-quality subdragon Martial Soul with concentrated dragon bloodline. The Fire Clan regards it as comparable in quality to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul, though the clan lacks the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect’s dragonification methods. 24

He is intensely protective of Huo Wu and distrustful of Lin Huo’s proximity to her. However, this protectiveness is mixed with genuine sibling affection rather than calculated hostility; Huo Wu can immediately silence him by threatening to involve Huo Tian. 18 19

Conflict over Lin Huo and Huo Wu

After discovering Lin Huo in Huo Wu’s dormitory, Huo Wushuang angrily attempts to confront him. Lin Huo defuses the incident by exploiting Huo Wushuang’s insecurity over Huo Wu’s opinion of him, leading Huo Wushuang to invent an elaborate story about Lin Huo’s supposed parentage. Huo Tian intervenes and takes him away for punishment. 14 15

Huo Wushuang later tries to persuade Huo Wu to stop living with Lin Huo, but retreats when she threatens to discuss the matter with Huo Tian. 18

Pursuit of a Worthy Opponent

Huo Wushuang pressures Huo Yun’s group to make Lin Huo move out of Huo Wu’s dormitory, indirectly causing their defeat at Lin Huo’s hands. After Lin Huo moves into a single room, Huo Wushuang visits again—not primarily over Huo Wu, but because he wants to test Lin Huo’s strength himself. 22 25 30

Duel with Lin Huo

Huo Wushuang formally challenges Lin Huo as a Level 19 assault-type Battle Soul Master. In close combat, Lin Huo’s abnormal physical power sends him flying with a single punch. 31
