Background / History

Long Xiaoyao was once known alongside Mu En as one of the Black and White Twin Saint Dragons. He retained ties to the Heavenly Soul Empire, where he had represented Diao Academy in its youth, but later settled in the Sun Moon Empire because of Ye Xishui. 2 25

By the time of the story, he and Ye Xishui were Rank 99 Ultimate Douluo powerhouses cooperating with Xu Chengjing's faction. Although associated with the Holy Spirit Cult through Ye Xishui, he is described as unlike a conventional Evil Soul Master. 2 7

He first met Xu Tianchen while secretly visiting the Purple Radiance Prince's Manor. The two bonded over Tianchen's grilled meat, and Long Xiaoyao personally offered to accept the boy as his disciple after recognizing both his talent and the similarity between their dragon-type martial souls. 7 8

Long Xiaoyao subsequently trained Tianchen in combat, personally supervised dangerous Spirit Ring and Soul Bone absorptions, and hunted powerful soul beasts on his behalf. His mentorship gradually became openly paternal rather than merely instructional. 11 12 19 23 43
