Formation and Absorption

• A Spirit Ring condenses after a soul beast dies. A Spirit Master guides it onto their Martial Soul with their own soul power, then refines the energy until the ring merges into their body. 5 12
• Successful absorption strengthens the bearer’s soul power and Martial Soul; it may also improve physical fitness and spiritual power. 5
• A Spirit Ring’s cultivation age must suit the bearer’s foundation. Kong Deming selected a nearly 900-year ring for Rank-10 Xu Tianchen based on his tested physical and spiritual strength, prioritizing stability over blindly pursuing a higher-age ring. 4
• Early rings may be acquired to overcome cultivation bottlenecks. Xu Tianchen needed a third Spirit Ring after reaching Rank 30 before he could continue advancing. 15
• Once absorbed, a ring’s Soul Skill functions as an instinctive ability that can be activated through thought. 5

Soul Shock

A Soul Shock occurs when a Spirit Ring contains a sufficiently powerful residual soul remnant from its source beast.

• Ten thousand years is normally the dividing line: soul beasts at that level awaken intelligence and can leave behind obsessive spiritual remnants in their Spirit Rings. 12
• A Soul Shock can occur below ten thousand years if the soul beast’s spiritual power reaches the ten-thousand-year tier. Xu Tianchen’s second ring triggered one despite originating from an approximately 8,000-year-old Void-Devouring Hou. 12
• Overcoming the shock can temper the bearer’s spiritual power. Xu Tianchen shattered the Void-Devouring Hou’s spiritual projection, expanding and densifying his Sea of Spirit in the process. 12

Ring-Granted Soul Skills

Destruction Force Field

Xu Tianchen’s first-ring skill creates a destruction-attribute field centered on himself. 5

• Initially covers a 20-meter radius and suppresses the spiritual power and attributes of unmarked targets. 5
• Grants Xu Tianchen a 50% enhancement while active. 5
• Suppression weakens against stronger opponents but retains absolute applicability; its radius expands by 20 meters for every major cultivation rank. 5
• At Xu Tianchen’s initial soul-power level, it could be maintained for about seven minutes. 5

Shatter the Void, Return to Me

Xu Tianchen’s second-ring skill uses destruction-attribute soul power to draw energy from surrounding space and convert it into self-enhancement. 13

• Its enhancement increases with the amount of spatial energy drawn. 13
• The skill reflects the spatial and destruction attributes of the Void-Devouring Hou. 11 13

Radiant Dragon Soul-Suppressing Break

Xu Tianchen’s third-ring skill attacks both body and spirit. 23

Myriad Thunder Execution

Xu Tianchen’s fifth-ring skill is a destructive lightning technique with single-target and area modes. 84

• Single-target mode condenses ten thousand lightning bolts; longer charging produces greater power, while instant casting reduces its output. 84
• Area mode instantly releases destructive lightning across a wide field without charging. 84
• Even an instant single-target cast is comparable to an ordinary seventh-grade Soul Guidance Device beam. 84

Soul Beasts, Sacrifice, and Soul Bones

• Spirit Rings can be taken after killing a soul beast or received through a voluntary sacrifice. 5 83 114
• A sacrifice may preserve the soul beast’s remaining consciousness within the resulting Spirit Ring. The Void-Devouring Hou accepted sacrifice only after Xu Tianchen swore to revive it upon attaining godhood. 113 114
• High-age rings can be accompanied by Soul Bones, but this is not guaranteed. Xu Tianchen obtained rings without Soul Bones in Dragon Valley, while several other hunts produced both. 50 114
• The Void-Devouring Hou’s eighth-ring sacrifice also produced a silver-purple right leg bone with spatial and destruction attributes. 114
• A soul beast above ten thousand years may leave a soul-containing crystal; one account states that crushing such a crystal allows the resulting Spirit Ring to be absorbed. 5

Concealment

The Ring of Concealment can hide its wearer’s exact cultivation level while they are not using their strength and can alter the displayed colors of their Spirit Rings, including yellow, black, and red. 14
