Background
Bofeng obtains his Eight Spider Lances after defeating a seventy-thousand-year Human-Faced Spider Emperor. Tang San also possesses an External Soul Bone called the Eight Spider Lances, but Bofeng’s came from the stronger spider and are described as higher in quality 54 98.
The two sets remain distinct throughout the story. Tang San uses his to scale a cliff and later combines them with his Blue Silver Emperor in combat; Bofeng’s undergo repeated evolutions through tempering and devouring other soul bones 98 163 170 347.
