Background

Qian Daoliu was one of the continent’s supreme Spirit Masters in his era, standing alongside Tang Chen and Bo Saixi. He and Tang Chen both pursued Bo Saixi, but she ultimately chose Tang Chen. Though he later remained connected to Martial Soul Hall and its Angel lineage, Qian Daoliu retained feelings for Bo Saixi. 54 102 140

As the Great High Priest responsible for the Angel Nine Trials, Qian Daoliu was bound to guide the Angel God’s chosen successor rather than ascend himself. He understood that completing Qian Renxue’s final trial would require his sacrifice. 192 298 411

He became deeply invested in preserving Martial Soul Hall after Tang Chen’s rise toward godhood made the old conflict with the Clear Sky Sect increasingly dangerous. Qian Daoliu identifies Bofeng as Bo Saixi’s son and learns he is also Tang Chen’s son. Alarmed by Tang Chen’s approaching godhood and the potential Sea God Island–Clear Sky Sect alliance, he considers binding Bofeng to Martial Soul Hall through Qian Renxue. 61 62

When Snake Lance Douluo reports that Qian Renxue has already married Bofeng and is pregnant, Qian Daoliu’s disappointment becomes delight. He sees the union as both a family blessing and a safeguard for the Angel lineage and Martial Soul Hall. 64

Angel Lineage Dispute
