Background

Early life and Spirit Hall

Bibi Dong awakened Twin Martial Souls at the age of six and was raised within Spirit Hall as Qian Xunji's foremost disciple and heir. At twenty-two, she was already Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden, but had never previously experienced the outside world for herself. 167

Her exceptional talent made her central to Spirit Hall's ambitions: her Twin Spider Emperor Martial Souls were expected to become overwhelmingly powerful once they carried eighteen Spirit Rings. Qian Xunji arranged her cultivation and Soul Beast hunts around this objective. 171

Meeting Tang Feng

During a journey outside Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong met Bofeng while he was using the identity of Tang Feng. He admitted her into the Heaven Dou Grand Auction City, gave her the Soul Devouring Spider Emperor Left Leg Bone, and accompanied her in hunting a Sixth Spirit Ring. 167 170 171

The Purple Winged Spider Emperor she absorbed granted her six pairs of purple wings as an External Soul Bone. Bofeng's affectionate use of “Dong'er” was the first time anyone besides Qian Xunji had addressed her that way, and she accepted it happily. 171 172

Over roughly half a month, the two grew close while travelling, fighting Wolf Bandits, and visiting Yelin City's Lantern Parade. Bibi Dong regarded that time with Tang Feng as the happiest period of her life. 173 175 176

She eventually left him without a farewell after Chrysanthemum Douluo found her. Bibi Dong believed that remaining with Tang Feng would endanger him if Qian Xunji discovered their relationship. 178

Tang Feng's death and the Pontiff era

Under Qian Xunji's scheme, Bibi Dong was forced to personally kill Tang Feng. The act left her emotionally devastated; afterward, she undertook the Rakshasa God's trials while intending to raise Spirit Hall to its height before destroying it herself. 144

She later became Spirit Hall's Pope and ruled for more than a decade. Despite her public authority, she continued waiting for Tang Feng for twenty-nine years. 208 296

Bofeng had erased the world's memories of Tang Feng after returning to his own time. Bibi Dong's memories returned when she inherited the Rakshasa God's power, along with the purple diamond ring Tang Feng had once given her. 209

Reunion and departure from Spirit Hall

Bofeng eventually met Bibi Dong in Pontiff Hall while disguised as Tang Feng and revealed that Tang Feng and Bofeng were the same person. After the initial shock, she accepted the truth and resumed their relationship. 208 209

When Qian Xunji returned and attempted to force her submission, Bibi Dong fought him with her hidden Rakshasa power. She renounced her position as Pope, severed their master-disciple bond, and left Spirit Hall with Bofeng. 295 296

After leaving, she chose a life with Bofeng over her former political role. She later received Tang Chen's acceptance as Bofeng's partner despite the natural hostility between the Asura and Rakshasa divine inheritances. 297 357

Bibi Dong is ruthless in combat and feels no remorse for killing enemies she considers beasts or threats. She massacred Wolf Bandits with her spider poison and later pursued the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King for its immense Spirit Ring. 176 353
