Background / History

Peter grows up under Aunt May’s care in Queens. Before becoming Spider-Man, he is a shy, bespectacled teenager with exceptional scientific curiosity, a fascination with spiders, and an instinctive urge to protect his neighborhood. Police sirens make him immediately want to investigate, and Aunt May notes that he often talks about keeping Queens safe. 5 6
