A Conflict Bound to Happen
Madam Hooch was frantic on the ground, her mind filled with the image of her grandmother Neville using the Killing Curse to kill the Death Eaters.
28. Pure-blood families, a confidant of Dumbledore, a descendant of war heroes, and the sole heir of the Longbottom family.
Neville's buffs are about to be fully stacked.
If Neville really does get into trouble in his class, well, he'll definitely lose his job.
Not only that, she also has to face Grandma Neville's relentless revenge.
With so many witnesses here, it's easy to see that Neville didn't take the incident seriously at all, not even bothering to lift a broom.
After all, he had previously thought Neville was a Muggle because he seemed so Muggle-born. Who knew he was the only bloodline of the Longbottom family?
"No, I'm doomed!" Madam Hooch's face was ashen; she had already envisioned her tragic future.
"Wingardium Leviosa"
Just then, Lester's booming voice rang out from the sky.
The combined power of the Dark Lord's Wand and the Doran's Ring's created a powerful effect that caused Neville to stop falling and freeze in mid-air.
Lester, wand in hand, charged toward Neville like lightning on his flying broomstick.
With lightning speed, Lester pulled Neville onto his broom the instant Neville was close.
"Brother Lai is awesome!!!"
The Slytherin below were banging drums and gongs, shouting "Awesome!"
The Gryffindor students were also secretly sweating bullets, staring intently at Lester.
Madam Hooch heard the students' excited shouts and looked up to see Neville, who had been rescued. A glimmer of color returned to her face.
"Thank you, Lester!"
Neville said gratefully, "You are my friend forever."
As he spoke, Neville wiggled his bottom, feeling a little uncomfortable being held in Lester's arms.
Lester gave a kind smile and said calmly, "It's alright, but could you please stop shifting your weight? I feel like this broom is about to give way."
Holding Neville in my arms, the old broom was long overweight and overloaded.
Beneath Lester's crotch, the broom creaked, and Lester and Neville on top of it swayed wildly.
"Lester, can you stop shaking? I'm a little scared!" Neville said timidly, looking down at the ground.
Lester hesitated for a moment, then said, "Is it possible—I mean, is there any possibility—that the broom is shaking?"
Neville: "???"
If the broom had a life of its own, Lester might have already heard his wails.
Lester was in great shape and had no problem riding the old broomstick, but with Neville, who was a bit overweight, it became a challenge.
"Hold on to me, I'm going to speed up!"
After giving the instruction, Lester suddenly pressed down, and the broom shot down like a sharp arrow.
A fierce wind whipped across Lester's cheeks, making it difficult for Lester to open his eyes.
Neville was so frightened that he screamed in Lester's arms.
Helpless, Lester still managed to take the time at the crucial moment to slap Neville twice across the face to shut him up.
Sure enough, after being slapped, Neville calmed down considerably, allowing Lester to focus entirely on the landing.
Clutching his worn-out flying broom tightly, Lester watched as the ground drew ever closer, silently counting down in his mind.
"3, 2, 1~~ Jump!"
Holding Neville in his arms, Lester leaped off the broom, casually tossing the Levitation Charm at his feet.
And so, under the watchful eyes of everyone, Lester descended slowly from the sky like a god descending to earth.
His emerald green robe fluttered in the wind, his flowing black hair swayed in the breeze, and he had a resolute gaze and a handsome face with sharp features.
If he hadn't been holding Neville in his arms, many of the little witches would probably have fallen for Lester immediately.
As soon as they reached the ground, Madam Hooch ran over quickly and gave Lester a grateful look.
"Slytherin 50 points for helping a classmate out of danger!"
The students present were all astonished and opened their mouths in surprise: 50 points!
However, when they thought about the danger they had just faced, they felt it was all justified.
"Lester, you're so cool!" Malfoy grinned and leaned closer, saying, "I'm sure if you went to play Quidditch, you'd definitely make the national team."
Jiedi also praised without reservation, "Brother Lai is awesome. He's more than qualified to be the captain of the national team, let alone join it."
Not far away, Madam Hooch pulled the still-shaken Neville close, offering words of comfort and concern.
"Neville, how are you feeling? Were you frightened?" Madam Hooch asked anxiously.
Neville shook his head and said, "Professor, I'm fine now, just a bit of a headache."
Madam Hooch's heart tightened, and she quickly said, "There might be some aftereffects, but don't worry, I'll take you to the Hospital Wing for a check-up now."
Meanwhile, Madam Hooch also invited Lester to join her at the school Hospital Wing.
Both of them had just experienced a strenuous flight and definitely should go to the Hospital Wing for a check-up.
Lester didn't want to go, but was forced to go under Madam Hooch's insistence.
After Madam Hooch left with Lester and Neville, the Slytherin snakes and the Gryffindor lions looked at each other in bewilderment.
What is this thing?
Suddenly, Malfoy's eyes lit up, and he picked up a crystal ball from the ground. It was the Remembrall Neville's grandmother had just given Neville that day.
After fiddling with it for a while, Malfoy lost interest when he saw that the crystal ball only glowed and decided to ask the owner.
Just then, Ron Weasley shouted, "Malfoy, put down Neville's Remembrall right now!"
Malfoy paused, gripping the Remembrall tightly, and changed his mind.
"Come and get it yourself if you dare!"
Ron Weasley, his eyes blazing with anger, charged straight at them.
He had been humiliated in front of the entire Gryffindor class that morning, and now he was furious.
Malfoy chuckled and tossed the Remembrall to Jiedi, who was already prepared.
The other Slytherin students also formed a small circle in perfect unison, passing the Remembrall through the air.
"Enough, Malfoy!"
Seeing Ron Weasley being teased, Harry couldn't stand it anymore and snapped, "Give the Remembrall back right now!"
Malfoy ignored him, instead quickly passing Neville's Remembrall, taunting, "You can come and snatch it like Ron Weasley did. It's a dog-walking game, it's more fun walking two dogs!"
"Fuck you!" Ron Weasley roared in fury, feeling utterly humiliated being treated like a dog on a leash.
Ron Weasley, now in a rage, snapped out of his daze and immediately raised his fist, charging at Malfoy.
Malfoy remained completely calm. He grabbed the Remembrall, mounted his flying broom, and with a powerful push of his feet, quickly left the ground.
