The Malfoy Family Has Always Been Close to Squibs
Despite the failed spell, Ron Weasley remained unfazed and prepared to cast it again.
Filch, standing beside Ron, felt like his lungs were about to explode with rage at Ron Weasley's foolish actions.
This little wizard in front of me clearly has magical talent, why doesn't he cherish it and instead wastes it like this!
Filch angrily snatched the wand from Ron Weasley's hand, instinctively wanting to perform the gesture he had secretly practiced tens of thousands of times.
However, when he noticed that there were three little wizards in the room staring at him expectantly, Filch froze, his eyes filled with dejection.
"Put your wand away, and don't let me see it again during confinement," Filch's voice became inexplicably hoarse, and his gaze towards Ron Weasley was filled with undisguised disgust.
Ron Weasley angrily took the wand and casually tucked it into his waistband, making Filch's eyelids twitch again.
Malfoy wouldn't miss any opportunity to mock his enemy, sneering, "The Weasley family ' fools don't even know the meaning of solitary confinement, how laughable!"
Ron Weasley's face turned pale with anger, and he wanted to retort, but seeing Filch staring at him like a hungry wolf, he kept quiet.
"Why is someone always targeting me!" Ron Weasley muttered in dissatisfaction, harboring even more resentment towards Filch in his heart.
All I wanted to do was tell him that using Cleaning Charm would make cleaning faster, and he yelled at me like that. No wonder George Weasley and Fred Weasley said he was crazy.
Lester could only say that Ron Weasley deserved to be scolded.
He knew that although Filch was a Squib, he had never given up his pursuit of magic.
In fact, even now, he still takes one day off each week to go outside and study magic.
He worked harder than ninety percent of the young wizards at Hogwarts.
Now, in front of such a hardworking person, Ron Weasley, such a slacker, has failed to cast his magic.
The thought that even trash like him could cast spells, while he himself couldn't despite his efforts, must have driven Filch to the brink of Filch. It would be strange if he didn't hate Ron Weasley.
"Now, pick up your brooms and come with me to Hogwarts Castle to clean up," Filch glared at Ron Weasley, grabbed his broom, and led the way out.
Malfoy glanced at Ron Weasley with an air of arrogance and strode after him.
Previously, he had a very bad impression of Filch, but now, after Filch berated Ron Weasley, the Draco's impression of Filch has improved dramatically.
Lester followed closely behind, while Ron Weasley reluctantly fell to the very back.
Filch, Lester, and the other two worked diligently in the first-floor corridors of Hogwarts.
Four people with brooms started sweeping from the entrance of Filch's office, leaving no corner untouched.
Filch skillfully cleaned every nook and cranny that was hard to see.
The trio behind him were taking advantage of the situation, and Ron Weasley looked at his classmates playing outside the window with envy in his eyes.
Malfoy watched Filch's retreating figure with the broom, lost in thought.
As for Lester, he simply leaned against the wall, pondering how to build a relationship with Filch.
If the castle keeper, who had worked at Hogwarts for decades, could gain Filch's friendship, wouldn't he be able to roam freely at night from now on?
Moreover, the various hidden passages within Hogwarts were no longer secrets to him.
Just as Lester was pondering this, Malfoy quietly crept over.
"Lester, have you noticed that Filch seems to be sweeping the house the whole time?"
"We're in solitary confinement, so we can't use wands, but he's not in solitary confinement."
Following the direction Malfoy was pointing, Lester saw Filch struggling to bend over and clean the dirt from the crevices.
Lester's eyes lit up immediately. That's right, how could he have forgotten what Filch, that Squib, craved most!
Filch was able to find the time every day to sign up for a basic spells training course; he definitely wanted to practice magic.
Although I can't solve Filch's Squib identity, I can certainly make him cast magic!
Patting Malfoy on the shoulder, Lester said with a smile, "Malfoy, our good days are coming!"
Malfoy was somewhat confused, not understanding why Lester said that.
Lester then whispered his plan in Malfoy's ear.
Malfoy was a little confused by Lester's plan, but knowing that he could trick Ron Weasley, he happily agreed.
A few minutes later, Malfoy casually approached Ron Weasley and whispered, "Weasley, you're such an idiot. You don't even know a simple Scourgify spell. A disgrace to purebloods."
Ron Weasley wasn't about to tolerate Malfoy's behavior and immediately growled in a low voice, "Malfoy, what are you barking about?"
Malfoy wasn't angry, but gave Ron Weasley a suspicious look and slowly said, "Weasley, you're so stupid, you're not a Squib, are you? You know, trashy Squib don't deserve to study at Hogwarts."
"You're calling me a Squib?" Ron Weasley shouted, as if he had been deeply insulted. "You're the Squib!"
Hearing Ron Weasley's shout, Malfoy and Lester exchanged a smile. Success!
Sure enough, upon hearing Ron Weasley's shout, Filch immediately ran over and snarled, "What did you say?!"
"Malfoy just called me a Squib!" Ron Weasley finally found his chance.
This time, Malfoy provoked him first, and he was in the right, so Ron Weasley was very confident.
Seeing Filch's menacing expression, Ron Weasley didn't hesitate to tattle. "Malfoy just called me a Squib, said I can't cast spells and don't deserve to be at Hogwarts, and called me a piece of trash."
Sure enough, Filch was so angry that he trembled, and his withered face turned purple with rage.
Squib, unable to cast spells, unworthy of being at Hogwarts —isn't that his situation?
"You really said that?!" Filch glared at Malfoy.
These vicious purebloods have always looked down on the Squib group, so it's not surprising that they would say such things.
Malfoy remained unfazed, calmly stating, "Mr. Filch, Ron Weasley is lying. Our Malfoy family has always respected the Squib; how could we possibly say such hurtful things!"
"You're talking nonsense!" Ron Weasley, who was confident of victory, roared. "You clearly said that Squib are trash and don't deserve to study at Hogwarts!"
Filch leans more towards Ron Weasley's perspective, despite the two conflicting accounts.
Although Ron Weasley had offended him before, and the Weasley twins had been causing him trouble, the Weasley family had always had a good reputation in the Wizarding World.
As for the Malfoy family, their reputation is infamous.
Therefore, he wasn't surprised at all that Malfoy would say something insulting about the Squib.
Filch then glared at Malfoy without hesitation, his teeth clenched tightly.
Seeing that Filch seemed to favor Ron Weasley, Malfoy calmly and deliberately said, "Mr. Filch, you don't actually believe Weasley's nonsense, do you?"
"Our Malfoy family has always been close to Squib; in fact, quite a few Squib employees work in our family business."
"Furthermore, our family has recently been working on solving the problem of wizard Squib, and we've made considerable progress."
"So how could I possibly insult Squib?"
