Black Wizard Nemesis, Quirrell
"Weasley really went too far this time!"
At lunchtime, at the Slytherin table, Malfoy accused Ron Weasley of his misdeeds in Charms.
All the little snakes stared at Ron Weasley sitting at the Gryffindor dining table with undisguised hostility.
Since their group was caught during their nighttime outing, and Lester personally taught them Charms, the first-year Slytherin snakes have developed a sense of unity.
If they were individuals before, now they are a group, a student group under Lester's leadership.
Just as the little snakes were accusing Ron Weasley, several exclamations and sharp screams came from the restaurant entrance.
"My God, it really is him! Headmaster Dumbledore actually managed to get Mr. Quirrell to be our teacher!"
"I'm going to write to my mom and tell her that Quirrell is actually our teacher! My mom will be so jealous!"
"Mr. Quirrell, Mr. Quirrell, could you tell me the details of your battle with several dark wizards in Knockturn Alley?"
The restaurant entrance was instantly blocked by a group of enthusiastic young wizards.
The young wizards excitedly welcomed Quirinus Quirrell, the legendary wizard who had recently become the most talked-about figure in the Wizarding World!
The Weasley twins from Gryffindor, in particular, shouted out Quirrell's achievements in the wizarding world.
"Standing before you now is Mr. Quirrell Quirinus, the King of One-on-One Fighting in Knockturn Alley, the Unrivaled Wizard, who holds up the heavens and divides the sun and moon with his bare hands, the Dark Wizard's nemesis who laughs at the number one wizard!"
After the twin brothers' antics, the students in the restaurant all knew who had arrived.
Most of the children from wizarding families were excited, and many even stopped eating to rush over and see Quirrell's face.
Ron Weasley, a child from the Weasley family, started explaining science at the dinner table.
"Mr. Quirrell is the most powerful and influential wizard in the Wizarding World. My father told me that because of Mr. Quirrell's existence, the crime rate in the Wizarding World has dropped by three percentage points!"
The students from the other three houses were incredibly excited, and the Muggle wizards, after hearing Quirrell's story, were also filled with anticipation.
Unlike the other three houses, which were in high spirits, the Slytherin House dining table was deathly silent.
Especially among the upperclassmen, many Slytherin upperclassmen looked like they'd lost their minds, their faces extremely pale.
Prefect Thompson's face was contorted with rage, but he only dared to express his dissatisfaction with Quirrell in secret.
As Quirrell walked toward the High Table, Prefect Thompson huddled in his seat like a frightened rabbit, trembling with fear, wishing he could bury his head under the table.
However, none of the Slytherin laughed at him at this moment, because most of the Slytherin students reacted the same way he did—they were terrified!
"Welcome, Quirinus, welcome back to Hogwarts!"
Dumbledore was present at the High Table, which was unusual for him; he was probably there specifically to welcome Professor Quirrell to the faculty.
Many young wizards thought so, because Quirinus Quirrell, the nemesis of dark wizards, was indeed worthy of Headmaster Dumbledore.
"Thank you, Headmaster Dumbledore. I would be delighted to return to Hogwarts to teach," Quirrell said with a smile. "Actually, although I was previously a professor of Muggle Studies, I've always wanted to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. Now, with your invitation, my dream has finally come true."
"Hmph!" Professor Snape, who was standing nearby, was so angry at Quirrell's words that his teeth itched.
If it weren't for the large number of students present, and the fear of accidentally injuring one, Professor Snape would have loved to unleash a Sectumsempra and teach Quirrell a lesson in cruelty.
Quirinus Quirrell was just an ordinary Half-blood wizard. Although he excelled in school, his poor background and weak personality made him an unknown figure in the Wizarding World.
But during this holiday, Quirrell's name resounded throughout the entire Wizarding World. Every wizard in the Wizarding World who heard Quirrell's name would subconsciously give him a thumbs up and say "Awesome!"
Professor Quirrell's debut battle was the chase at the Leaky Cauldron. Several witnesses saw Quirrell being chased and thought he was just an unlucky guy who had messed with a dark wizard.
Unexpectedly, Quirrell successfully escaped. Not only did he escape, but the next day he also killed dozens of dark wizards and cut off the 00, the heir of the Fawley Family.
The Fawley Family was furious and put a 100,000 Galleon bounty on Quirrell's head. Dark wizards from all over the world responded, and even the old monsters who had been living in seclusion researching magic all joined in.
I thought Quirrell would be killed quickly, but I didn't expect Quirrell to be such a strong fighter!
The lightning-fast Killing Curse, the unyielding fighting style, and the cannon-like casting speed of magic—these are truly terrifying combat skills.
These are all in terms of combat strength; Quirrell's familiarity with the Wizarding World is what's truly frightening.
A safe house that no Auror could find, terrifying Dark Magic unlike anything ever seen before, and persuasive eloquence.
If he hadn't been fighting only dark wizards, the Ministry of Magic would have suspected he was the fourth Dark Lord!
While the young wizards were gossiping about Quirrell, Voldemort was having a frantic conversation with Quirrell from the High Table.
"Quirrell, are you an idiot? You're far too calm in front of Dumbledore!" Voldemort roared. "You should act like an ordinary professor and not attract Dumbledore's attention."
"Master, I also want to pretend to be an ordinary professor, but when I see Dumbledore now, I just can't get nervous!"
Quirrell felt extremely wronged. If it were before, with Voldemort on his head, he would have been terrified to death Dumbledore.
But now, in the Wizarding World, he's either being killed or killing others.
At first, Voldemort possessed him and used his body to fight, but later Quirrell gained combat experience and simply fought on his own.
He is no longer the weak wizard Quirrell who couldn't lift a finger; he has taken more lives from dark wizards than Harry has ever seen.
Having always been on the edge of a knife, Quirrell naturally developed a big heart.
"And Master, we have absolutely no reason to be afraid of Dumbledore," Quirrell whispered to himself. "We know Dumbledore's biggest secret: he's not a good person at all."
"Foolish!" Voldemort said coldly, "If he were a truly benevolent person who cared for the world, I wouldn't be so wary of him. But he's too well hidden; he's the Dark Lord."
"You've already demonstrated your abilities in the Wizarding World, so keep a low profile in class from now on. I have a feeling that old Dumbledore will try to recruit you into that secret organization."
