Obtaining the Marauder's Map
Lester looked down at the twins, who looked as if they had lost their parents, and laughed:
"Weasley, you just said you were going to pull our pants down and throw them at the entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room, did you say that?"
"So what if we do? You beat Ron Weasley up like this, why can't we retaliate?" George Weasley retorted, unconvinced.
"That's because Ron Weasley insulted Malfoy's parents!"
The twin brothers froze, Malfoy that while it was acceptable to say such things behind someone's back, it was certainly inappropriate to say them in front of their children.
"Alright, now I'll give you two choices: either I strip all of you naked, line you up, and throw you into the Ravenclaw House dorms?"
"No, Lester, you can't do this!" The twins panicked, and the other Gryffindor were also strongly opposed.
Ravenclaw House is known for having more girls than boys, and not only that, the girls at this school are all very beautiful.
If they were really stripped naked and left at the entrance of Ravenclaw House, they would probably have a hard time finding a partner at the school.
Lester laughed, "Of course, you have another option."
"I heard from Filch that you stole a very magical parchment from him. It has no writing on it, but it's a magical item."
"If you're willing to give me this magic parchment you stole years ago, I can pretend nothing happened today."
Amazing parchment? The twin brothers exchanged bewildered glances. Wasn't this the Marauder's Map they held?
"Lester, it was just an ordinary piece of parchment, which Fred Weasley and I threw away," George Weasley lied, his eyes darting around. "Fred Weasley and I used various methods, and it turns out it was just an ordinary piece of parchment."
Ordinary parchment, already thrown away?
Lester never expected that, even in this situation, the twin brothers would still try to trick him.
"Malfoy, I'll knock them out with Stupor Spell, then you guys put them outside the Ravenclaw House dorm room."
"Especially the Weasley twins, they should be placed in the most prominent position!"
"Alright!" Malfoy grinned as he stared at the Weasley twins, planning to strip them naked after they were knocked unconscious.
Despite this, the Weasley twins refused to yield, stubbornly declaring, "Lester, go ahead and strip us bare! We won't give in!"
The twins knew perfectly well how useful the Marauder's Map was, so they preferred social death to handing it over to Lester.
However, they firmly refused, which panicked the other Gryffindor.
"Fred Weasley, don't be impulsive! If we strip them naked and leave them at the entrance to the Ravenclaw House common room, we'll be infamous throughout the whole school!"
"George Weasley, Professor McGonagall will hate us to death when she finds out. You should give him the Marauder's Map."
These were friends George Weasley and Fred Weasley had invited; they were on good terms with the twins, so their advice was merely a gentle dissuasion.
Percy Weasley's call for the fourth-year Gryffindor was much more direct.
"Percy Weasley, hurry up and tell your brother to give the thing to that little snake. Do you want us all to be embarrassed with you?"
"Is this how the Weasley family operates? You ask us for help, but then you refuse to take responsibility when things go wrong. I've seen through you!"
Hearing the accusations from all sides, Percy Weasley's face turned pale and then purple with anger.
He was the most concerned with his image in the entire Gryffindor House, and he always considered himself to be a rule-abiding citizen.
This time, he only brought his friends to help because the twins were begging and Ron Weasley had been beaten to a pulp.
I never expected the twin brothers to make me lose face like this!
These fourth-grade students only came because of them, but when something went wrong, the twins refused to take responsibility.
How is he supposed to face Gryffindor now? He wants to run for Prefect next year!
"George Weasley, Fred Weasley, stop arguing! This won't do anyone any good!"
Percy Weasley was used to disciplining his younger brother, so his words came out in a stern rebuke. "This is not the place for you to act childishly. Now, go and give that parchment to Lester right now. You two are making the Weasley family lose face!"
To maintain his position, Percy Weasley reprimanded the Weasley severely, his tone making the Weasley twins' faces turn extremely ugly.
Their older brother usually puts on airs and often scolds and belittles them at home, but they've tolerated it all.
But with so many people around, and a bunch of snakes watching, Percy Weasley's insults made them feel quite embarrassed.
"The Marauder's Map is ours, why should we give it to that bastard Lester!"
The Weasley brothers were also furious, somewhat recklessly saying, "And you, Percy Weasley, all of you! When I asked you to ambush Slytherin, you were all the loudest in the room. Now, why should the two of us have to take the blame?"
"If you're so tough, let's all get stripped naked and laid out in front of the Ravenclaw Common Room, then we'll petition Headmaster Dumbledore and see how he punishes Lester."
Percy Weasley had a terrible headache, feeling that his two younger brothers were complete idiots.
Although he was very strict with them on a daily basis, they were, after all, his own younger brothers, and how could he be willing to wrong them?
But now Lester has passed the ball to them, and they have no choice but to accept it!
Go and retrieve the map honestly, then hand it over to Lester in exchange for everyone's safety.
This way, others won't blame them; they'll even say that the Weasley family are loyal and willing to take responsibility when things go wrong.
The Gryffindor will also hate Lester and Slytherin even more.
But if the Weasley brothers were willing to let everyone suffer with them rather than hand over that Marauder's Map, then everyone's opinion might change.
We went through all that trouble to help you, and now that something's happened, you won't give us a single penny, preferring we all suffer together. Is that how you act?
Whether for his own future or for his younger brothers, Percy Weasley gritted his teeth.
"You two were the ones who called everyone over to help, so you two should be responsible for what happened."
"We stayed up all night to help you, and now this has happened. You should take full responsibility."
"Now, stop making a fool of yourself here and hurry up and get that... Marauder's Map, quick!"
Despite Percy Weasley's reprimand, the Weasley brothers remained defiant and indignant.
However, when they saw the disapproving looks from their companions, they suddenly realized what was happening.
They were just throwing a tantrum before, but now that they think about it carefully, they really should bring out this Marauder's Map.
"Okay, I'll go back and get it right away!"
It was unclear whether it was George Weasley or Fred Weasley, but they struggled to their feet and said fiercely, "Lester, if I bring you the Marauder's Map, I hope you'll keep your promise."
Lester nodded noncommittally and chuckled, "Of course, and don't look at me like you want to eat me alive. This is just punishment for you; you brought it on yourselves."
Upon hearing Lester's words, the twin brothers nearly suffered a stroke. They barely managed to suppress the urge to faint and staggered away from the Clock Tower.
