"The headmaster wants to see you, come with me."
Harry had just stepped into the entrance hall when a figure blocked his path.
It was Filch the caretaker!
His face was practically pressed against Harry's.
"I didn't do it!"
Harry was still thinking about the Weasley twins' antics and instinctively blurted out a reply.
"Ha, what's wrong with you, Potter? Looking like you have a guilty conscience, am I right?"
Harry turned his head to send a plea for help, but Ron was helpless too. With no other choice, Harry could only shrug and follow Filch toward Umbridge's new office with a resigned expression.
Filch's mood was completely different from Harry's; he was extremely happy and even humming a little tune.
"You know, Potter, I've told Dumbledore many times, but he doesn't listen to me. You lot are far too brazen, and he's far too lenient with you!"
As Filch spoke, he shot Harry a vicious glare.
"You lot ought to be whipped to shreds with a lash, and then strung up one by one and hung in my office. Then you wouldn't make mistakes anymore, and you certainly wouldn't go throwing Dungbombs and Fanged Frisbees about as you please!"
"It's almost time, I'll be able to wait for that day very soon! Once Educational Decree Number Twenty-Nine takes effect, I'll have the authority! You lot just wait, I'll make you taste what it's like to scream to the heavens with no response and pound on the earth with no answer! By then, Potter, you can just enjoy howling to your heart's content!"
