Seeing Ginny Off (Thanks to Feifeifeinuonuo for the Gift! Thank You!)
When Su Yu and Ginny came out of the cave, it was almost midnight. Occasionally, a frog would jump into the water with a splash from the water plants on both sides. Kurama was perched on his shoulder, its tail drooping in front of his chest, its eyes half-closed, as if it was about to fall asleep.
Ginny was also extremely sleepy, so Su Yu had no choice but to carry her in his arms and slowly walk towards Hogwarts.
His mind was still replaying the guardian's words. Something about the trial of Ancient Magic, something about Sen Carl —to be honest, he hadn't even remembered that name. Sen something -Carl? Or Bakal something?
All he knew was the common knowledge of magic in the Harry Potter world, the various rules of Hogwarts, and known magical secrets. He was completely unfamiliar with this ancient ruin, the so-called Ancient Magic trials, and even all the secrets within the tower. He simply assumed it was an unknown Ancient Magic ruin near Hogwarts.
"Do you think they might have made a mistake?" Su Yu asked Ginny, looking down at her.
"What's wrong?" Ginny blinked her big eyes in Su Yu. She liked this feeling. It was late at night, and no one was bothering her. Most importantly, she was being held in Su Yu's arms like Su Yu, so she snuggled closer to Su Yu.
"That tower, the Sen Tower, have you heard of it before?"
"No," Ginny murmured in his arms, "I've never heard of that name before either."
"That settles it then," Su Yu said. "It was probably a private building constructed by some great mage hundreds of years ago, which later fell into disrepair and was mistaken for some important historical site."
Ginny glanced at him. "You didn't say that in the tower. You seemed quite serious when you agreed."
"They're so old, they haven't seen a living person in hundreds of years. They finally caught one, how could I refuse?" Su Yu chuckled. "Besides, there's no harm in going to take a look. What if they really find something in the tower?"
When Su Yu returned to Hogwarts Castle, the torches in the Entrance Hall had all gone out. He put Ginny down from his arms, while Kurama jumped onto the floor, stretched, and then followed him inside.
Ginny stopped in front of the familiar portrait of the Fat Lady.
"Su Yu," she looked up, her eyes clear and eager, her tone filled with undisguised expectation, and she spoke up decisively, "You mentioned before... Sen Carl, are you going to investigate again tomorrow? I... can I go with you?"
After saying that, Ginny's heart pounded, and she nervously awaited Su Yu's response.
Looking at Ginny, who was full of interest and had bright eyes, Su Yu nodded gently and reached out to pat her head again. "Okay, I'll take you with me tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll protect you."
Upon receiving an affirmative answer, Ginny couldn't help but smile sweetly. She waved happily to Su Yu, fluently gave the pass code, watched as the portrait of the Fat Lady opened the entrance, turned around and stepped into the Gryffindor Common Room. Before doing so, she turned back and smiled to say goodnight to Su Yu before skipping Earth Flow inside.
Su Yu stood still, watching the door to the common room close completely before turning around and walking alone in the opposite direction. He walked through the winding corridor, down the stone steps, and came to the entrance of the Slytherin Common Room. He spoke the command to the stone wall, and the cold stone wall slowly slid open, revealing the dark and quiet entrance to the common room.
Without pausing for a moment, Su Yu stepped inside. The stone wall behind him slowly closed, shutting out all outside noise and completely restoring the unique quiet atmosphere of Slytherin.
He reached into his pocket and felt a piece of parchment inside, given to him by the Guardian. It depicted the location of the ancient tower deep in the swamp. "Sen Carl," he murmured to himself, but it still sounded awkward, so he simply marked it in his mind as "that tower."
The lounge was now empty, with only the faint sound of flowing water. Su Yu tiptoed through the lounge and returned to his bedroom. He opened the door and saw Ka-jie leaning against the headboard, covered with a soft blanket, holding a thick magic book in her hands. The pages were turning quietly between her fingers, indicating that she had not yet fallen asleep.
Hearing the door open, Ka-jie looked up, closed the book in her hand, and placed it on the bedside table. Her usually cool and elegant features softened in the dim light, and she spoke calmly, "You're back? How did the investigation go?"
Su Yu sat down on the bedside and casually pulled Ka-jie into his arms. Without any concealment, he recounted to her the entire process of entering the underground Chamber of Secrets with Ginny and encountering the phantoms of the four Ancient Magic guardians, word for word. After all, she was his strategist, and it was always right to ask her for analysis. Among the girls, Hermione was like a search engine, asking her about anything she didn't know, but for analysis, he had to ask Ka-jie. If he wanted to fight, he'd ask Fa-jie, and for logistics, he could ask Daphne. As for his secretary, well, she'd do what she needed to do when there was work to be done, and what else could she do when there wasn't?
Ka-jie gently pressed her fingertips against her chin, listening intently the entire time. After Su Yu finished speaking, she paused for a moment before using her usual meticulous thinking to analyze the situation for him, "If the four guardians are correct, then it's very clear: the Goblin want to rebel. They've set their sights on the power of Ancient Magic. They probably first noticed the Slytherin students using Ancient Magic in Hogsmeade Village, which is why they kept appearing in the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village, even culminating in the final attack on Hogsmeade Village. But now there's the most important question: what are they going to do? What exactly do they want to obtain?"
She looked up at Su Yu, her eyes serious, her tone carrying a solemn warning. "Exploring Sen Carl is fraught with unknown dangers. You need to prepare in advance, act cautiously, and never venture deep into the area alone. You must prioritize your own safety."
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing and I'll be extra careful," Su Yu replied softly, taking her words to heart.
Seeing his resolute expression, Cassandra nodded slightly, raised her hand to tidy the bedding beside her pillow, softening her cool demeanor and adding a touch of pre-sleep gentleness. She then gently blew out the candle.
"It's getting late, let's get some rest and recharge before dealing with the rest."
But a short while later, a girl's suppressed moans echoed through the darkness.
"Don't you have something to do tomorrow? Why do you need to go so late at night?"
"I just want to hug you..."
"Then... then what are you going to mooch off?"
"Alright, alright, be good, don't move around."
(Seriously, I think it's because of the rating issue. I would accept even a score of 6 or higher, but it hasn't been rated... 300,000+ words and only a little over three yuan a day, hahaha, only 90 a month... I'm speechless, there's absolutely no hope. Oh well, I'll just treat it as writing for fun. If I really relied on this to make a living, I'd starve to death...)
