The surprise came just like that—without warning!
Before Gao Jing had any chance to prepare, a crack suddenly appeared in the Golden-Feathered Griffin Egg beside the Faith Spring.
At the crisp cracking sound, Gao Jing immediately crouched down and examined the Griffin Egg.
A tiny hatchling was breaking out!

It might even become a weakling!
At the same time, if the little Griffin failed to emerge soon enough, it would die.
Gao Jing chose to respect whatever fate had in store for it.
After a few more blows, the little Griffin was plainly exhausted. It curled up inside and stopped moving.
Crack!
Just as Gao Jing thought it had given up, the little creature suddenly lunged forward. It sent a large piece of shell flying and poked out a head that looked like a fledgling bird's.
Its wet head had hardly any feathers. Its hooked beak was pink, and its eyes
