Spatial Magic

Chen Xu arrived at the entrance to Ancient One's Sanctum and walked straight in.

"Chen Xu, what is it?" Ancient One asked in confusion.

"Yes, I have a few questions."

"Questions? Go ahead."

"Recently, whenever I used spatial magic, I felt that the spatial structure on Earth, even beyond Earth, had changed. What exactly is going on?"

"That is because of the convergence of the Nine Realms."

"What? When I was studying in Asgard, Thor mentioned it, but wasn't it only temporary?"

"Temporary? Who told you that? This is only the beginning. The convergence of the Nine Realms has created certain connections between the spaces of our nine realms. It has also weakened the power of the barriers protecting our space. Some demons from other worlds may seize this opportunity to invade Earth."

Chen Xu suddenly understood. It seemed the plots he had known before had been somewhat misleading.

Ancient One smiled.

"You're mistaken. You are the Sorcerer Supreme now."

The reconvergence of the Nine Realms created a strange phenomenon over New York, directly causing panic and unease among the people of Earth. S.H.I.E.L.D. was already overwhelmed trying to deal with the trouble.

At the same time, a Dark Alliance led by Loki and formed specifically to oppose the Avengers was established. Its members included Doctor Doom, whom Loki personally taught magic using Asgardian technology; General Ross, who only wanted to obtain Hulk; and the gang boss Kingpin, who had been controlled by Loki with the Mind Scepter.

Loki looked down upon the crowd as though he were the ruler of the world. The wonderful feeling thrilled him beyond measure, and he savored it immensely.

New York Sanctum

Chen Xu had learned from Thor that the Nine Realms consisted of Helheim, a realm filled with death and devoid of life; Nidavellir, the realm of dwarves; Alfheim, the realm of elves; Vanaheim, home of the Vanir; Jotunheim, home of the Frost Giants; Muspelheim, ruled by the Fire Giant Surtur; Niflheim, the uninhabited realm of mist; and Asgard, home of the Aesir and leader of the Nine Realms.

As the power of the spatial dimensions surrounding Earth weakened, some otherworldly demons that did not know their place still sought to launch an invasion.

"Has Dormammu come again?"

Chen Xu also went to the magical sealing site. By the time he arrived, a large group of Sanctum mages had already gathered there, all standing behind Ancient One.

"How is it? Is it Dormammu again?"

Ancient One did not turn around. He knew who it was just by hearing the voice, and all the Sanctum mages made way for Chen Xu.

"No, it isn't just Dormammu. Cyttorak, ruler of the Crimson Cosmos, is here as well. You have no idea how much stronger Dormammu is than the ruler of the higher-dimensional spaces."

"Why is he here? He is already so powerful, yet he is still interested in Earth and our universe?"

Ancient One stared directly at Cyttorak. Cyttorak noticed his gaze and sent Ancient One flying with a glare.

Ancient One climbed to his feet in a sorry state.

"Sure enough, Cyttorak is not someone I can contend with."

Dark Dimension

Dormammu, ruler of the Dark Dimension, stood respectfully beside Cyttorak and asked in a deferential tone, "Why have you come here? Does this planet have something that interests you?"

"My messenger will be born here."

"Your messenger? Could it be Juggernaut?"

The moment Cyttorak finished speaking, he casually shattered the spatial dimension and tossed a red gemstone down to Earth.

Chen Xu also noticed Cyttorak's action.

Cyttorak then vanished directly. Dormammu felt utterly helpless about Cyttorak freely entering and leaving his Dark Dimension. He had no way to stop him. Cyttorak's Crimson Cosmos completely ignored spatial dimensions, while Dormammu himself was bound by the Dark Dimension. The Dark Dimension made him increasingly powerful, granting him eternal life and making him impossible to destroy, but it also made his existence worse than death. He could never leave the Dark Dimension.

"What was that red gemstone Cyttorak threw out just now?"

"It will turn whoever touches it into his messenger, making them invincible from then on."

As a transmigrator, Chen Xu naturally knew that Juggernaut was a mutant from the DC universe.

Ancient One smiled faintly at Chen Xu's change of heart. He then returned to his residence.
