| Name | Human Race (人族) |
| Alias(es) | Humanity; Humans |
| Species/Race | Human |
| Affiliation | War Alliance; Great Xia Federation; the Eight Great Sects of the Vast Desolate Domain |
| Status | Extant; one of the Cosmos's strongest races 548 |
Characteristics
- Humans are generally physically weaker at birth than many cosmic races, but are innately close to the Dao and naturally suited to structured cultivation. Their strength comes from successive generations developing cultivation methods, Divine Abilities, pills, Treasure Artifacts, and other transferable systems rather than relying chiefly on bloodlines. 508 705 730
- In the Star Ruins Realm's broad racial classification, most upright, two-armed, two-legged peoples with roughly human forms are counted as human. Pure-blood humans are those whose ancestors are all human, such as Jiang Shu. 548
- Human potential is not uniform. Some people are incapable of beginning cultivation, while others possess exceptional talent; in contrast, certain other races are born with high realms or specialized innate abilities. 417 548
- Human cultivation is not limited to one route. Martial Dao, Mind Cultivation, genetic enhancement, Mechas, technology, pills, puppets, Talismans, and Great Dao comprehension all appear within human civilization. 184 206 310
History
Rise in the Cosmos
In extremely ancient times, humans were weak enough to exist as vassals and blood food for stronger races. Their position changed only after multiple invincible human experts rose, fought for survival, and established the foundation of humanity's later strength. 548
The Human Race's presence in the Star Ruins Realm was likewise built through generations of sacrifice. The Battle Soul Ancient Path preserves the battle intent and remnants of human ancestors who fought to secure humanity's standing in the cosmic inner region. 603
Xuanxing's Evolution Era
As Xuanxing underwent rapid ecological change, humans recognized that animals and plants were evolving as well. Human society responded through proactive evolution: Xia Kingdom promoted Martial Dao, while America pursued genetic enhancement. 22 36
Martial Dao remained highly dependent on talent and resources, while genetic evolution and Mechas offered a more accessible—though externally dependent and potentially harmful—alternative. Xia Kingdom later considered advancing Martial Dao and genetics side by side. 184 188 206
Xia Kingdom eventually unified Xuanxing as the Great Xia Federation. Martial arts became widespread, while Gravity Chambers, Speed Chambers, serums, advanced weapons, and cosmic travel technology accelerated human development. 310
War Against the Demon Race
The Human Race and Demon Race fought for control of the Vast Desolate Domain, the Endless Sea Domain, and the Chaotic Demon Sea. Human forces advanced into the Demon Domain, with the Eight Great Sects coordinating military campaigns and sharing resources. 537 570 730
Human unity was a major strategic advantage over the Demon Race's clan-based structure. The Dragon and Phoenix Races could not fully command lesser demon clans, while human sects could share pills, Treasure Artifacts, Divine Abilities, and cultivation opportunities across their forces. 730
The conflict did not prevent temporary cooperation. Human Venerables allied with Heavenly Court Demon Venerables against the Demon Domain, and later cooperated with Demon Race forces to stop the Golden Crow Heavenly Emperor from fusing with the Immortal Embryo. 732 752
The Pseudo Universe
The War Alliance, Mech Clan, and Insectoid Clan entered a Pseudo Universe through a gate opened with the Human Race's Black Stone and Dao Pattern. Its Laws were 94.63% similar to those of the outside Cosmos. 774 776
Upon discovering Cangyu Star, the War Alliance refused proposals to consume or enslave its human inhabitants, regarding them as people of the same origin. Jiang Shu instead helped reconstruct the freezing colonial world and accepted its governorship. 776 778
Human factions from the greater Cosmos later sought to merge with isolated human factions in the Pseudo Universe, strengthening both sides against external threats. 788
Civilization and Organizations
| Organization / Polity | Role |
|---|---|
| War Alliance | A major Human Race power in the Cosmos and the backbone of humanity against threats such as the Doomsday Cult. It preserves human battle history and recruits exceptional human prodigies. 598 620 |
| Eight Great Sects | The principal human sects of the Vast Desolate Domain. They coordinated the war against the Demon Race and shared resources to reinforce the Human Race's overall strength. 570 730 |
| Great Xia Federation | The state formed after Xia Kingdom unified Xuanxing. It combines widespread Martial Dao education with scientific research, cultivation instruments, serums, and cosmic technology. 310 |
| Human Race Central Federation | A Pseudo Universe human federation that lost contact with Cangyu Star after a major calamity. Its collapse left several human worlds isolated. 776 777 781 |
| Mingkuang Star Sector administration | A Human Race–Mech Clan–Insectoid Clan coalition that established a Torch, trade platform, shared rules, and a regional order for interstellar exchange. 794 797 798 |
Cultivation and Technology
Martial Dao
Martial Dao develops strength from within and has an exceptionally high ceiling. Its practitioners can progress from physical tempering to cultivation realms capable of entering the Cosmos in the flesh. 5 210
- Requires talent, time, and cultivation resources.
- Uses foundations such as stances, Breathing Techniques, Qi and Blood, Divine Abilities, Origin Power, and Great Dao comprehension.
- Can be supplemented by mass-produced resources, cultivation chambers, and technological instruments. 22 23 310
Genetic Evolution
Genetic evolution was developed most aggressively by America as a faster route to enhanced human strength. 36 188
- First through Third Order genetic warriors strengthen the body and may acquire Variant Ferocious Beast traits.
- Fourth Order Gene War Generals develop their brain domains and can purge incompatible genes.
- Fifth Order Gene War Gods achieve more complete genetic fusion. 188
- Lower-order evolvers risk genetic rejection, shortened lifespans, and combat flaws caused by incompatible traits. 188
Mind Cultivation and Mechas
Mind Cultivation is more difficult than Martial Dao but can support advanced applications such as space combat. Mechas and technological weapons provide another route for humans who lack outstanding Martial Dao talent. 184 319
- Xia Kingdom developed Sleep Pods to support simultaneous Martial Dao and mind cultivation. 236
- Human technology includes Source of Life serum, holographic training systems, spatial-transition-capable battleships, and Laser Railguns capable of killing Tier 6 Variant Ferocious Beasts. 310
- Technology can extend ordinary human lifespans to two or three hundred years in advanced civilizations. 634
Relationships
- Demon Race — Humanity's principal rival in the Vast Desolate Domain. Their war centered on territory, resources, and survival, though temporary alliances formed against greater threats. 570 732 752
- Half-Demons — Descendants of humans and demons who occupy a low and precarious status within the Demon Race. Hu Yi sought Human Race protection for the Fox-Human Clan, receiving support from Jiang Shu's faction. 508 510 517
- Mech Clan — Both competitor and ally. The War Alliance fought Mech Clan forces, negotiated prisoner exchanges, and later cooperated with them in the Pseudo Universe and Torch project. 631 769 775 798
- Insectoid Clan — A powerful but uneasy partner in the Pseudo Universe and Mingkuang Star Sector coalition. The alliance is based on shared interests rather than full trust. 774 778 796
- Heavenly Court Demon Venerables — Temporary allies of Human Race Venerables during the struggle against the Demon Domain's forces and the Golden Crow Heavenly Emperor. 732 736
- Beast Taming Sect traitors — Human cultivators who secretly aided the Demon Race during the war, demonstrating that internal interests and betrayal remained a threat even within humanity. 521 539 664
Internal Conflicts
Human identity does not guarantee unity. During the Demon Race war, the Beast Taming Sect's leadership secretly cooperated with the enemy, sacrificing human interests for a path of retreat. 521 539
After human forces captured Panhai City, competition for territory and resources created further tension among the Eight Great Sects. Jiang Shu warned that even Dao Lords and Dao Venerables could collaborate with the Demon Race if advancement or profit demanded it. 664
The War Alliance explicitly rejects rigid attachment to sect or origin during existential crises. When Jiang Shu hesitated to accept a leadership role because he was not originally from the alliance, Zhan Jiuxiao recognized him on the basis of race rather than faction. 621
