Background

Main Gods form the ruling power of the Divine Realm, which treats lower-dimensional planes as sources of faith, Plane Origin, and controllable pieces in a larger divine order. The gods are shown assigning predetermined roles to Spirit Hall, Shrek, and the two empires, effectively scripting the fates of Douluo's inhabitants 8.

During the first open war with Douluo, the Divine Realm sent avatars of the Sea God, Angel God, and Asura God. Li Xuan sealed their divine souls, divine power, and surrounding space with Heavenly Dao shackles, forcing the avatars back to the Divine Realm 18 19. The defeat prompted a full-scale divine retaliation involving a million divine soldiers, three thousand divine generals, and seven Supreme Gods 20.

The Divine Realm's later Rebel-Slaying Divine Army was led by the Asura God, God of Destruction, God of Evil, and God of Greed. Its forces included thirty High-Rank Gods, two hundred Mid-Rank Gods, and one thousand Lower Gods 108. Their campaign against Douluo ended disastrously: Gu Yue's Ancient Dragon God True Form grievously injured all four leaders, while Asura later sacrificed Greed and Evil to restore himself before being defeated through the backlash of his forcibly fused authorities 113 118 120.

Afterward, the surviving Divine Realm leadership—Wrath, Order, and Eternity—launched a larger invasion backed by 130 million divine troops, over a thousand Mid-Rank Gods, more than two hundred High-Rank Gods, and the three Supreme Main Gods 128.
