More than ten days later, crimson light filled Green's Academy laboratory. The thick smell of blood lingered in the air.
Beneath the red glow, corpse after corpse lay on the lab tables. A few creatures were still alive, struggling faintly as fresh blood seeped from them.
Most of the dead creatures were missing parts. Their chests had been cut open and emptied, their organs arranged neatly to one side. Amid the blood-soaked laboratory, there was a strange sense of order.
Green stood beside a lab table. Before him lay a Stormbird held fast by runes, its body about the size of a falcon. Its limbs and wings were spread out like a specimen's. Blue feathers covered its body, reflecting rainbow colors under the Fluorescent Stones. Blue-green light flickered in its pupils, while blue energy particles occasionally flowed around it.

He had no intention of conducting the experiments in the rear. Returning to the Academy was another form of disguise.
Green extended a hand, and Mental Power surged out. A fierce, invisible blow struck the Stormbird. Its head lolled to one side, and its blue-green eyes rolled back.
He gently turned the Stormbird's head. It felt unusually hard; its feathers were as tough as steel yet still flexible. Picking up a pair of tweezers, he pried open its beak. Unlike an ordinary bird's, its mouth was packed with layer upon layer of teeth, like a shark's. A scrap of flesh remained inside, giving off a faint, fishy smell.
Green frowned slightly and closed the beak. He picked up a specially made scalpel and gently opened
