On Tuck Grassland, the emerald-green meadow stretched endlessly, the grass swaying gently in the breeze. The low shrubs all around rustled softly, while fierce hawks and vultures circled and cried overhead. Golden sunlight spilled across the ground, bringing wisps of warmth.

Green and Roman stood on the top-floor balcony of the Library, gazing out over the entire grassland. A grand welcome ceremony was being held there, with large numbers of ordinary residents summoned to stand along both sides of the grassland road.

The ordinary residents held hastily cut strips of colorful cloth, waving them constantly. Larger flags had been fixed to flagpoles along both sides of the road. Fluttering in the breeze, they revealed the emblem of the Aita Empire in fleeting glimpses.

The rectangular flags were divided horizontally into equal bands of deep blue, golden yellow, and red. These three colors symbolized wisdom, wealth, and strength.

At the very center of each flag was a gigantic double-headed eagle. This was the true body stance Aita displayed when fighting with all his might—the founder of the Aita Empire.

Apart from the road prepared for the welcome ceremony, the city was almost completely empty. Other than the personnel needed to keep the city running, hardly another human could be seen.

Such a grand welcome ceremony was naturally being held because the formal administrator of Mars City—a member of the Royal Clan—was about to arrive.
