In the vast and magnificent palace, a solemn atmosphere hung over the entire place. Guards in metal armor patrolled back and forth around the palace, while Green followed the escort leading him inside. Frowning as he took in the scene before him, he slowly sank into thought.
"Looks like... things are even more serious than I imagined!"
Through a scan with his Mental Power, Green could sense that the soul fluctuations emitted by these guards were far from weak. Some of them even reached the standard of a Third-Level Wizard.
In the magnificently decorated palace hall, six chairs had been placed around a huge golden round table.
Each chair had been carved from some kind of transparent crystal. Under the hall's light, they were dazzlingly brilliant.
Five of the chairs were already occupied. Their occupants all had their eyes closed, as if silently waiting for something.
Creak—!
The heavy sound of the doors opening rang out. Beneath the gloomy sky, the light inside the hall actually overwhelmed the light outside, spilling through the crack between the doors.
Green appeared at the entrance. The dazzling light in the palace hall made him involuntarily narrow his eyes. Only after they had adjusted slightly to the environment did he open them fully and begin to observe the hall carefully.
Roman and Justin were already seated in the hall, waiting. Besides them, three people Green had never seen before were also sitting around the round table.
Although the chairs had no obvious arrangement, Green could still vaguely tell that Roman seemed to occupy the dominant position.
As Green pushed open the doors, everyone in the hall opened their eyes and focused their attention on him.
Roman's gaze held the same admiration as always. Justin's was filled with awe, while the remaining three looked curious.
