Since completing Soul Absorption, Green had spent most of his time aboard the airship studying the structure of fundamental particles through the Chip and Elemental Light, increasing his progress on the Rule Model. He meditated every day, of course.
As for going out to capture souls and strengthen himself, this was the Wizarding World. Mass slaughter of ordinary creatures would draw the attention of the World Will.
He had been able to attack the Nightmare Race only because they had attacked him first. In theory, he had merely defended himself—and though he had defended himself so thoroughly that he wiped them all out, his reasons had been just. The World Will would not interfere.
After all, the things his opponents had brought out really could have inflicted lethal damage on him.
If Green truly slaughtered ordinary creatures without cause, the World Will would surely arrange all kinds of obstacles along his route to the Central Region.
Back on the East Coast, Green had already known the World Will was keeping an eye on him. In the Twin-Moon World, he had even been able to communicate directly with it.
As Green saw it, as long as he did not bring disaster upon himself, he would not be deliberately targeted within the Wizarding World.
The other wizards aboard the airship were mostly building up their strength in silence. Many had gained quite a bit during their stay in the Mist Region, and three Second-Level Wizards aboard the vessel had even advanced to the Third Level.
"We're almost there!" In the airship's cabin, Green opened his eyes from meditation at the Chip's prompt.
An Arcane Sigil lit up on one of Green's fingernails, and a shield-shaped rune drifted out.
