The fact that it did not react with real matter could only mean that a layer of separation still existed between the Dream Gate before him and reality!

Reality and illusion were relative concepts. The Wizards had merely given them those names.
In the eyes of the Ancient Wizards, the Illusory World was more like another Endless Void, one governed by Laws completely different from those of the current Endless Void.
