At the gathering, the last to arrive, a Half-Ninth-Level Guardian, was the first to rise. He looked toward a peak Eighth Level lifeform seated on the right side of the stone table.
"Diur, explain the situation. After all, that civilization arose in your region, and many of the Guardians still don't know the full details!"
The man called Diur stood up. In his hand was a dark green cane, from which a pale green glow emanated. The powers of decay and rebirth seeped out of it. Though his face appeared aged, it also brimmed with vibrant life.
