Formal Wizard (II)

As his Mental Power continued to expand, a strange change swept through his Mental Space. A peculiar frequency arose, and runes formed one after another, embedding themselves along its edges.

Green's Innate Sorcery was taking shape on its own.

Everything was going as Green had expected. What he had not accounted for was that, besides being a Wizard, he was also a Holy Knight.

As his Mental Power surged, it triggered another change. The Life Tree in Green's heart began to stir as his Mental Power expanded.

The already mature Life Tree began to grow once more, greedily absorbing energy from its surroundings. It also stimulated Green's body, causing some unknown change.

As the Life Tree grew, Green felt as though every cell in his body had caught fire, ravenous for energy.

Warning!! Warning!! Cells are dividing rapidly. The subject is losing large amounts of Life Force. Intervene?

The Life Tree's sudden activity sent the Chip into a frenzy of warnings.

"No!!!" Green refused through gritted teeth.

Although his Life Force kept burning away, Green could clearly feel the Life Tree driving his Mental Power up at a frantic rate, far beyond that of an ordinary Wizard.

He could also feel its strange activity affecting the Innate Sorcery forming in his Mental Space. The Sorcery was growing more complex and more powerful.

"My Life Force is being drained too fast!"

Feeling his cells divide wildly, Green knew that if this continued, he would become a dried-up corpse before his Innate Sorcery finished forming.

Outside his Mental Space, Green's face was lined with wrinkles, and his hair had turned snow-white. He looked like an old man with one foot in the grave.

"Good thing I'm a potion maker!!!"
